This was on my bucket list and I am so glad we were able to see it on our cross-country road trip. The arch is an amazing engineering feat. Be sure to pay the $4 to see the 35 minute video of how it was constructed: it is awe-inspiring. The ride to the top, and views from there, were also unforgettable. We also did the virtual reality theater, as we had never done VR before; I don't recommend that, however. You are seated on a stool with VR glasses and earphones, and taken through a still painting. It feels like your stool is floating, and I often needed to hold the stool to steady myself. We spent around 2 hours in the free museum.
