Got there and waited more than 10 minutes for our waitress to come to the table. I was watching a woman take her sweet time clearing a table to the right of me, unaware that was our waitress we were waiting on the whole time. When she finally does come to the table, she doesn't even take our drink order and states she needs to take some food out real quick. At this point I watch as she goes and stands next to the window to the kitchen for more than five minutes. I am already aggravated at this point, and she finally comes to the table to take our drink order, and we are ready to order food also. The second person she gets to at our table orders pancakes, which is what my son and I both want also, and THEN she tells us that they are out of pancake mix, this is 9:30 in the morning mind you. I just get up and start walking towards the door. The waitress has the audacity to try and defend herself at this point as I am walking away from the table, which made things even worse, trying to say she had to get food out to her other tables. It doesn't take 15 minutes for you to deliver food to a table of four, two of them being small children. On top of that, the hostess who sat us down could have told us that they were out of pancake mix, or the waitress herself could have told us that the first time that she came to the table, which is when she should have taken our drink order and gotten us our drinks out IMMEDIATELY. You don't leave people sitting at a table for 15 minutes with nothing to drink while other people are sitting around them eating and drinking. It's no wonder that Bob Evans closed in Joplin. Same level of service, which all stems from poor management. My family visits Branson several times a year, and I can tell you I won't be going back to this Bob...
Read moreTypically, we enjoy eating at Bob Evans. However, this was not just the worst Bob Evans we have ever eaten at, but this may be the worst restaurant experience of my life. To set the scene: there were about 4 tables of people (4-8 at each table) and us, so 5 tables total. There were at least 3 waitresses that I could see. Our waitress came over with a trainee and asked for our drink order. The drinks arrived relatively quickly, but 2 out of 4 drinks were wrong. The waitress was not apologetic and seemed annoyed when we asked for the right order. About 15 minutes later, they arrived to take our food order. They took 3 orders (out of 4 people at the table) and started to walk away. I had to call her back to the table to take my order, which for some reason she was also annoyed by. We sat for about 30 minutes waiting on our food. We actually watched our food get delivered to a different table during that time. Then our food arrived and two of those orders were wrong too!! NOT ONE TIME did they check to see if we needed refills on our drinks or anything throughout the entire meal, including the waiting. Our food arrived over cooked and cold, nobody came by to check on us. We finished and sat for 15 minutes waiting on our waitress to appear to bring us our check, we never saw her. So, we walked up front to the register to pay. We waited there for another 10 minutes before I had to walk back to the kitchen and get someone to cash us out. When they cashed us out they didn’t even show us our ticket until I asked for it, they just gave me a total and expected me to pay without seeing the ticket. I would go ANYWHERE else in Branson to eat....
Read moreI've said before I wouldn't go back, but today I did. It wasn't very busy. There were 2 top tables near the check in. I explained I just got out of the hospital after a week and not walking good. As usual, the request was denied and I had to go about midway to a 2 top table. The coffee was good.I got the chicken fried steak, scant amount of gravy, hash browns, burnt, sourdough dry and hard. Tasted good. I knew I was eating food loaded with msg as all Bob Evans products are so that accounted for taste. Otherwise, consistency was cardboard. The chicken fried steak was about a quarter inch thick. So, thats the best part. My son ordered the big meat breakfast and pancakes. Mine arrived first. When he got his all the meat and potatoes were ice cold. The pancakes were doughy and raw. He went to the bathroom before his meal came and told me the cook was in there with a plunger and the bathroom looked like a truck stop. Very nasty. So, now back to his food. He told the waitress. She took it back. Here comes the manager, offers to remake it, really we have a long drive home and my son had waited long enough, but Mgr convinced him he'd get it right. So, we wait and wait here it comes and its hot. He takes a few bites of French toast, didn't want pancakes they were bad, he hands me a piece of sausage said just chew this but don't swallow and tell me what it is. Before I got it in my mouth I smelled cleaning products really strong. I spat it out. The French toast, home fries and the sausages all wreaked of it. We didn't say anything. Paid the 35.00 and never go...
