Came to this escape room in late September of 2021. We got the plant themed room to ourselves and were given an hour to complete the puzzle. It was an engaging and well thought out room with details that I enjoyed. I did like that the game attendant made very clear to us what was NOT part of the puzzle so that we didn’t waste out time looking in places we didn’t have to. I only had two gripes with my time there. One was the price. For roughly $25 a person it’s a very short experience at only an hour max. Secondly some of the small details that were meant to help us were not maintained. The flashlights in my case. We were instructed not to use our phones but one of the two flashlights we were provided in the room died as soon as we started our escape.

I went here last minute last night with a friend. There were mini puzzles in the waiting area for us to play to get the blood flowing. The room we chose was definitely fun but difficult for us. Our game master Brittany was completely supportive in explaining things to us. She also gave us more clues because we had multiple times where we were just stuck. Brittany even allowed us to work some bonus puzzles after our time ended. Because of her great service I plan on returning to try a different room.

The owner, Laura, was great! She is so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. And it is such a cute space. We did the Written in the Stars room, which is the hardest room known to man, but as my niece said, “jokes on you, we are women and we got out” (lol, just joking). In all serious, this is a tricky room but not impossible and a must if you like astrology and/or astronomy. This was an awesome experience and we will definitely be back!

Our family has been to many escape rooms across the U.S. Our experience at Crack the Code in Tinley Park was by far our worst experience to date.

We love going to escape rooms to force us to really use our brains and try to solve puzzles. Some struggles are good and give us a sense of accomplishment. That didn’t happen here because the host told us how to solve every puzzle without us even requesting help. She literally told us how to solve every puzzle. Hints are ok but not solutions when we didn’t even ask for hints.

We love the sense of escaping with a few minutes left. We escaped with 26 minutes left and that included a “bonus” round.

We booked our reservation about 20 minutes before the scheduled time. Upon arrival, the store front was closed and we had to call to ask if they were going to open for us. I should have known it was going to be a bad experience when the host showed up frazzled.

Definitely not worth $24 per person ($78 for the 3 in our party). I would love a refund of some sort.

Unfortunate experience to...

My friend and I went here last night and had a blast. Our appointment was scheduled for a certain time and the owner hadn't gotten the notification so when we showed up early, the place was closed. I called the number right away to make sure we were at the right place and the owner was very apologetic and arrived not long after. We may have waited 10 to 15 minutes outside but when she arrived she was still apologetic and really hooked us up. It was our first time there and was totally worth it. Not only was it very personal but also an amazing experience. We not only got to do our scheduled room, but another as well right after. It was definitely 2 hours well spent. My friend and I look forward to going back very soon. I would highly suggest only bringing one other person with you as the rooms are kind of small and it's more of an enjoyable challenge with just two to solve the puzzle(s). Great atmosphere, ideas, and fun and different for a night out. I highly...

Had a great time at Crack The Code! My husband and I did Trapped in an Elevator and found it to be a great challenge, but we were also able to escape! It made for a really fun date night activity before dinner. Highly recommend the Elevator to anyone looking for creative puzzles to solve as well as a good brain challenge. We did the garden with a larger group previously, and were very impressed with the variety of puzzles and creativity this place offers between the two different rooms! The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and the facility is gorgeous! Wonderfully decorated and extremely clean. The rooms are so excellently crafted, it’s as if you are truly in a different world while you’re in there. Can’t wait for their third room to open up so we can go back, keep up the...
