Avalon Flooring - Brick, NJ — Attraction in Brick Township

After many years of looking at our “out dated” kitchen, we decided it was time to upgrade.

The upgrade included refinishing the cabinets, install a new countertop and install a backsplash.

We chose Avalon Flooring (located in Brick, New Jersey) to install the backsplash.

During our initial visit to the store, our sales representative, Barbara Lorenzo was extremely helpful in assisting us with the many questions we had about the different types of tiles that could be used for our new backsplash. There were so many to choose from. We had many questions and all were answered. The staff Avalon Flooring did an exceptional job throughout the entire process (showing us many tiles that we could use with the countertop color we chose, contract details, measurement and installation). The tiles that we chose look beautiful. We look forward to enjoying and looking at our new backsplash for many years to come. We highly recommend Avalon Flooring if you are considering an upgrade (whether it be flooring and/or tiling). We thank everyone at Avalon Flooring for their hard work in completing our project.

Diane has to be one of the rudest salespeople I've ever encountered. In the middle of a pandemic, you would think the boss would teach their salespeople customer service 101. The store has a very limited selection, products similar to those at Home Depot but with jacked up prices. It was suggested to make an appointment, meanwhile the place was empty, and met with Diane who had trouble understanding what type of tub I have, but yet she's working as a consultant? She showed me the one tile that would match my project. Within about 3 minutes of her half butt attempts to show me stuff that may coordinate, another worker said she had a phone call. This is where ANY place I have visited, the rep says "Sorry, I'm with a customer.' Nope she took the call, told me to "look around" meanwhile there was nothing to look at, and left me there for over 10 minutes. I then made my way up to the front to see what she was doing and she proceeded to now be on her computer. I walked right out with her looking up for split second, not saying anything to keep me from leaving. This store and for sure not her, won't see any of my 2 grand. I'll support the local mom and pop store up the block which sells quality products then give this dud any...

We have been in a few of the Avalon locations and they are all good. However, the Brick location was exceptionally helpful. We were renovating our kitchen and were looking for some flooring (not really sure what type), we went to Avalon in Brick, and we met Diane C. She treated us like we were old friends. She took the time to understand what we liked, what we did not like, what our style was, how our house was decorated and guided us in the right direction. She spent the time to help us make the right decision. We ended up with a beautiful Marble. We love it. We were not pushed, rushed, or overwhelmed. Diane sent us home with samples and a gave us the guidance we needed to make an educated decision. Diane gave us her cell in case we had questions and personally took some personal pride in helping us decide. When the cabinets were installed she helped us pick a backsplash. All of this took place over 4 months (because of the contractor - not Avalon). Every time we went in she remembered us by name and would always say hello even if if she was with another customer. Diane is one of those special people that can be helping you and go help another person without you feeling neglected or forgotten....
