We have brought our cars to Peach Days the last few years. We as well as others work hard and take great pride in our custom rat rods. We were disappointed that this year, our craft was not acknowledged in the award ceremony. If the decision was made to disregard us , it would have been at least appreciated to be told ahead of time. Several came from considerable distance to participate in our city festival only to be told in no certain terms, you are irrelevant. I understand rat rods aren't everyone's cup of tea but most enjoy the creativity of the craft. A lot more goes into them than people realize. Hopefully this will change...
Read more"Peach Days Park" is actually Reese Pioneer Park however a lot of people know it as peach Days park because the 2nd weekend of September the city throws a festival called peach Days and the park is used for the festivities such as the car show they also shut down Forest Street to have this event! Fun little Park! Fun little festival peach days is awesome this area is perfect for this type of an event where you can use the park across the street from this park and the car show fills up both sides of the road and then Forest Street is closed all the way up to main Street with rides games and all kinds of fun! The parade was a fun event but I wish there was more things to do then go on amusement rides and look at booths of people trying to sell you things. The car show is pretty cool.
