I always love taking my family to Delaware Canal State Park. They have a nature trail, a small pebble beach where you can get your feet wet or take a kayak or canoe out. A beautiful dock where you can walk out and enjoy scenic views along with what looks to be a private boat dock. Beautiful views of the delaware river, sunrises and sunsets. Plenty of fishing, lots of monuments, plants and birds. Plenty of parking, and porta potties. In close proximity to Mill Street, which has plenty of restaurants, antique shops and historic architecture. A brisk walk from the Septa regional rail line Bristol station. A short drive from the Amish market on Green Lane and...

A favorite spot of mine along the Delaware River for photography. One might see the nesting pair of bald eagles flying over from Burlington Island, along with waterfowl, songbirds and other raptors. It's a terrific place to take the dog for a walk, or to just hangout and relax. New Year's Day 2023 felt like early spring. Attached are two photos: one of the sunset showing the exact, former canal's end; the other showing the waxing-gibbous Wolf Moon over Burlington...

The path is in great shape for walking, hiking and biking. It leads through a few small communities with access to food and bev. (Beware there was a without home camp but now it just seems to be a pile of trash) Tons of birding and even fishing on the route. The connector from the waterfront is proposed but for now, you can it's easy to navigate using the road. No bathrooms noted.

It's a very nice little want park with plenty of benches facing the Delaware river there is also a dock and gazebo. It's not particularly big but there are some nice walkways and short trails plenty of parking too.. And it's just down the street from a nice little Main Street with restaurants, pubs and local shops including a bookstore..
