Heart And Home — Attraction in Brookside

We were trying to find a gift-wrapping service and searched online. Heart and Home Gifts and Accessories popped up advertising and we saw the quote. "No need to go to the mall. Heart and Home has your gift list covered. We offer gift wrapping/bags!" A few of the other links said they offered gift wrapping as well.

We brought in our items that needed to be wrapped (2 sweaters, a mug, and some earrings) and approached the front counter, asking if they would be able to wrap our gifts.

The staff immediately stated no. There was a long awkward pause as we weren't sure what to say. She then said they do not wrap anything from outside the store. It was very cold and unfriendly.

I asked if they offered a gift wrapping service. We are happy to pay for it. We just wanted to have our items wrapped up nicely for our family's gifts. We aren't expecting the items to be wrapped without paying for it. Would we be able to pay for a gift wrapping service? Or if we purchase some items here, could we pay some extra to have the other non-store items also wrapped?

They again coldly stated no, they don't do that.

After another long awkward pause we said sorry and walked out.

We were really excited when we found the store and thought it would be great to look around if there were any other nice gifts to get for our family, but after the encounter at the front desk, we felt so low and condescended.

I wouldn't think it would be unreasonable for a gift shop advertising that they offer gift wrapping to be able to wrap other gifts for a service...

Horrible service was recommended to go here to buy my mother a gift got the gift went to check out was asked if I wanted a receipt I asked the young lady if it didn’t fit can I return it she said yes but you will need the receipt but you can always exchange it without it so I didn’t take the receipt because I knew my mother would love it but long store short it didn’t fit went back to return it the store was closed with a new hours sign on the door but online said open so I went back a few weeks later and the manager wouldn’t exchange it she totally changed up what the other lady told me and said she would need proof of purchase which I bought it with my credit card so that was no problem then she found another reason saying oh it has to be within 30 days. Very rude have never had to deal with such bad service especially because it’s locally owed should have honored what your employee told me and just let me exchange the gift for a bigger size and make sure your customers are being told the right information when buying...

This is the best establishment for all your shopping needs. They have everything from clothes to amazing jewelry. They also have gifts that fit whoever you are shopping for (nurses, teachers, etc ). The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to lend extra help. They will even walk around with and help you find the perfect gift.

I also come here very often to shop for myself, they have great brands like kendra scott, brighton, vera and much more.

On top of that, they gift bag for free!! With very cute bags, tissue paper and tie it off with a bow.
