Not even worth one star. This place is completely disorganized and lacks even the most basic communication. They double-booked my MRI appointment and turned the entire process into a mess.
I initially scheduled an appointment for 7:40 AM. After confirming it, I was told my appointment wasnāt actually on their schedule. They had to reschedule it to 1:20 PMāforcing me to cancel all my regular plans just to accommodate the new time. During the rescheduling call, I specifically asked if there was anything else I needed to do. They said no, everything was set.
But right after the call, I received two text messages: one asking me to confirm the 7:40 AM appointment, and another asking me to confirm the 1:20 PM. I replied to both, asking which one was correct. Each one gave a different answer. The person handling the 7:40 AM slot even said, āIf you donāt have the order, Iāll contact the person who rescheduled you. Sorry for the mix-up.ā
Then, two days later, I got two more texts. One asked me to confirm the 1:20 PM again, and the other was from the person who had rescheduled meāconfirming that 1:20 PM was the correct time. These were the most recent messages, so I showed up at 1:20 PM as instructed.
When I arrived, they told me I didnāt have an appointment. I had to contact the person who rescheduled me and ask them to talk directly with the front desk. While they were on the phone, the person standing in front of me blamed me, saying they ācalled all dayā and that I didnāt pick up. Really? The calls came at random times on the weekend, and I returned the call within 10 minutesābut no one answered. How is that my fault?
Also, againāI had been told there was nothing else I needed to do after rescheduling. When I asked why they kept texting me to confirm if the phone call confirmation was all that mattered, the guy just said, āThatās how it works.ā Then he told me once more that there was no appointment and that I needed to reschedule again.
At that point, I just gave up and canceled everything. Sure, he apologized at the endābut honestly, after hearing him blame me for their mistake, it didnāt feel sincere. Maybe instead of pointing fingers, they should focus on actually communicating with each other.
This was by far one of the most frustrating and unprofessional scheduling experiences Iāve ever dealt with. If you donāt want to waste your time, avoid this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Shin Imaging for a Pelvis Ultrasound in Bueno Park on 6/1/23. When I first walked in I see 3 Receptionists, 1 was on the phone and the other 2 were just sitting there on the computer. I was not greeted with a warm welcome and was not acknowledged. The receptionist just told me to have a sit and they will call me. Mind you no one still said Good Morning or hello. They called me up to give me the paperwork to fill out and the guy asked for my insurance card and ID, still no one even greeted me. I filled out the paperwork and gave it back to them, they didn't say "thank you" or anything and just handed back my insurance card and ID. I sat back down and the guy called me in the back to get the imagining, still no "hello, how are you doing today" just real cold and nonchalant. The technician was really nice and pleasant. She did a great job. Once I was done, I was walking out the door, the receptionist that checks you out stopped me to tell me that I have a $15 coinsurance. As I'm getting my card out to pay her, she's on her cell phone texting..big no no. I gave her my card and I pulled out the receipt from the CC terminal, she didn't say "thank you" or anything. I guess I was the wrong color because everyone there is Korean and they acknowledged everyone else that came in the office while I was waiting to be seen. All their patients are Koreans. Shin Imaging is racist and I would never recommend this place to anyone, not even a dog. Oh I forgot as I'm waiting in the waiting room to be called, I can hear them on the line with other patients by saying their names, date of birth all personal information, which is against HIPPA laws. No one should be treated with such disrespect. They need to do better and treat everyone with respect regardless of their color. The receptionists lack empathy and have 0 customer service etiquette. They all need to go to a customer service seminar. I'm giving them 1 star because I had to leave it. Kuddos to the technician that helped me today. I will never under any circumstances go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnbelievably Rude Staff (Review on behalf of My Mother)
I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother, who was treated with appalling disrespect at this medical practice. From the moment she walked in, a staff member displayed a complete lack of professionalism. When my mom simply tried to answer some questions asked by the front desk, the receptionist responded with a rude "How can you not know that?" This dismissive and condescending attitude made her feel belittled and unimportant.
But the unprofessionalism didn't stop there. The front desk staff clearly didn't grasp the concept of basic courtesy. My father, witnessing my mother's discomfort, politely requested that the receptionist be more congenial. Incredibly, she responded under her breath, not realizing everyone in the waiting room could hear perfectly. Her muttered reply was something in the lines of, āIām being rude? What was so rude?" (the whole conversation was in korean so itās difficult to translate word for word) This only highlighted the complete lack of respect this office has for its patients.
It gets worse. The front desk staff wasn't even professional enough to keep their negativity private. While speaking English to each other (presumably about my mom), they clearly didn't realize my father, who understands English perfectly, was right there! It's appalling that they thought they could talk down to an elderly patient in this way. Their attempt to speak poorly about my mother in another language backfired spectacularly.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable from a medical practice. They need to seriously address their customer service issues. Don't waste your time or money here. There are plenty of other practices that understand the importance of treating patients with dignity and respect. Take your...
