Canon City Lanes — Attraction in Cañon City

Very disappointed with the way Birthday party’s are ran. We had a reservation and paid a deposit for 2 lanes and the party room from 2-4. Showed up 10 minutes early and checked at the front with Rose. She said the party that was in there got started late and they would be just a few minutes over. At 2:05 I checked in with Rose again and was told fifteen more minutes but they would add an extra table we could use since we had no where to put our party stuff. She offered for our party to run long but I told her that hat wasn’t possible since we already set a time for parents to come get their kids. Over the next hour I continued to ask Rose how much longer. Finally at 245 she said she was trying to encourage them to leave but would go back in. Finally at 3 we were able to set up my daughters birthday party. It was really frustrating to not have anywhere for 12 5 year olds to get drinks and set their stuff. The area by the lanes was crowded and there was not enough room for all of us to be. When we left( on time at 4) we went to the desk to pay and was only compensated 30 dollars off our total bill for getting only half the time we reserved and no apology for the inconvenience . We will never do a party here again. We will go to Florence where customer service is better and you actually get what you pay for. A party full of 5 year olds is hectic enough without not having the space you reserved and needed. More could have been done to get those people out of the space. Everyone who worked there was very pleasant, including Rose, that’s why I am giving them 2 stars...

EDITED REVIEW... I Have come by and Canon City Lanes has been CLOSED. The sign on the door states you’re open from 11:00am to 8:00pm. My family came to bowl and are extremely disappointed that this establishment is inconsistent with their hours. This is the second time this has happened. Please, if you’re not going to stick to your hours, either change them or change your voicemail message to explain this before people waste time and gas to come to a business that isn’t open. There is not much in town to do as it is and when you opened we were excited but now sadly, disappointed.

EDITED REVIEW* I am happy to review Canon City Lanes and give them 5 stars. My sons took me there ob Mother's Day and we had a fabulous time! Not only were my games free....but as a mom i received a complementary drink from the bar too! The staff was very pleasant and helpful and it made our experience wonderful!! Well.......let me just start off by saying that it's the only bowling alley in this town. So.....with that being said, it honestly is a great place to go if you're just looking for a last minute activity to do or even for your kids birthday. We took our 5 year old here for her birthday and for the price you really can't beat it. We got 2 pitchers of soda, 2 hours of bowling on 2 lanes for the whopping price of $160 for 12 people.......truly how can you beat that. The last time we went(not for the birthday,) we had some issues with our lane but the gentleman behind the counter took really good care of us and made sure that we were given extra time for free to make up for the faults with the equipment and that was A+ service in my eyes.
