We have a very special story, and Touch of Love Florist and Weddings is big part of our story, but specifically, our very relationship with Shae, who we proudly call our sweet friend. About 2 years ago, I met my ‘then’ boyfriend, and ‘now’ husband, Scott. At the time, Scott lived in Canon City and I lived in Castle Rock. We started our relationship with an “in state” long distance relationship. On our first date, Scott brought me the MOST beautiful, gorgeous flowers. I knew he was a keeper, not because he had brought me flowers, but because he had paid attention to getting to know me and knew that Roses and Stargazer lilies were my absolute favorite!!! We only got to see each other about every other week, so our time was special and meaningful and every single time, he always brought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. I started to ask where he found such beautiful flowers, as it was very obvious that they were hand selected and arranged, based on the feedback Scott was giving about my “likes”. I loved certain colors, specifically purples, and my arrangements always had such unique flowers in them. As our relationship progressed, Scott ended up moving to Castle Rock, and continued to work near Canon City. For a little while longer, I was able to enjoy the beautiful flowers that he continued to surprise me with from time to time. Eventually, Scott was transferred and was now living in Castle Rock and working in Denver. We were both so incredibly happy, but it would not be convenient any longer to get the same beautiful, high quality flowers that we were both used to from Touch of Love and have the usual conversations with Shae as to what she was going to create for us.
We got engaged 11/11/17, and began planning our small, intimate mountain wedding near Estes Park, CO. We knew our details would be minimal and simple, but there was ONE thing we were absolutely sure about. We knew that Shae would have to the one to create our wedding flowers, even though we only decided to have my bouquet and his boutonniere as real flowers. We weren’t sure if this order would be too small, but we were willing to pay the delivery fee to have the flowers delivered to Castle Rock. I had worked with Shae during the months leading up to our wedding, showed her pictures of what we wanted, and she FAR exceeded our expectations, like seriously, look at the gorgeous pictures!!!!!! I also sent ribbon that was left over from the sash I was using on my dress and she used this ribbon as the stem wrap for my bouquet, which looked absolutely perfect in our photos.
We cannot say enough amazing things about Touch of Love and specifically Shae, not only did we have a personal connection from day 1, but we have a forever friend in our life and we will never forget the impact she has had in the incredible Love Story of the Lovey Dovey’s (Our last name is Dove and a name we’ve been called our whole relationship). If ever an opportunity to open another location in Denver, we would definitely be your first customers. We will definitely visit Canon City again and make sure we always stop by Touch of Love, not only for flowers/gifts, but to see our special friend Shae.
With much love and appreciation,
The Lovey Dovey’s Kimmie...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would!!!!!!! This floral shop is a shame. First time I ordered, the order had to be returned to the shop for better flowers, the arrangement was AWFUL!!! Just tried to send flowers again this time through Teleflora. First I was told I would need to purchase a higher priced arrangement as the minimum order for this area was over $50.00. Second I was charged a $19.00 delivery fee by Teleflora. Ok fine it was for a special occasion.. I had to call on my order and was told there was a glitch in the system and my order was never received. Ok, things happen, so I scheduled for the next day. When I called on my order the 2nd time I was told that my order was cancelled. After researching it, my order was cancelled by Touch of Love because they supposedly reached out to me for an additional $32.00 for a delivery fee and never got an answer. For those adding it up, yes the delivery fees alone were as much as my arrangement. To be delivered in CANON CITY.. First I never received a call and second to be delivered in CANON CITY. From one end of town to the other doesn't take but 10 minutes.... get real people. This is why small business fail..... I'm all about supporting local and small business. But when you run such an unethical business..... well there are no words.... I would stay away from...
