Eastern Oak is the best park in the area. The remodeled park has been open since April of 2018. It had been a park for more than 40 years, but always hidden by the YMCA, that was formally there. The YMCA years ago was quite the hub of swimming, kids afterschool care and social events. It is so nice to have people back to the park and enjoy it.
The tennis courts have been converted to Pickleball Courts. This has been great for the senior crowd to the people who have young kids to watch on the playground. Even young kids have been learning. Many of us that play there take pride in the park and pick up trash and notify the park district if there are issues anywhere in the park.
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in world and especially in the US.

Read moreIts a good park, overall the reason for the one star is that there is cuss words on one of the park rides. Homeless people living in the bathrooms, dogs unleashed makes it an uncomfortable setting for your kids.
There's this one white Honda civic that keeps coming by speeding too fast in the parking lot harassing the community. I Heard them asking the public if anyone wants to buy any drugs. Its a Korean group in the car, youg adults. I dont find this place a safe environment.
Overall, its a good park to play at, I just hate criminal activities happening here on a daily basis. 😑 cops should really watch this place or at least place security...
Read moreNice new park. Dog park is small but has large and small dog areas, but not much shade. Does have drinking water stations. My main issue with this dog park is that large dog owners often open the gate between the small and big dog areas to let their big dogs run back and forth. The problem is their big dogs poop in small dog area and the owners don’t pick it up because they are not watching their dogs or too lazy to get up and walk over and pick it up. I routinely have to pick up 6 or more piles of someone else’s dog poop when I come here. Really people, pick up your dog’s poop or...
