IUN has a beautiful campus with great staff who are very friendly. I have read several reviews stating that the person who wrote them were unsatisfied in many ways. I myself can say that when I was a freshman they had the first week of the fall semester filled with numerous fun and exciting things to do right when I walked out of the Hawthorn Hall building. These things were designed for freshmen to feel more welcome at IUN and to make friends. This first week was filled with walking tacos, free snacks and many other things. This week long event happens every single year and it is a very nice way to open up a new chapter of your life. As for being told that someone was on their own I can sadly say that I do believe that. When I was trying to get my FAFSA worked out the financial aid department rudely turned me away at least twice. I had to work that out by myself. However I am sure you will run into this issue anywhere you go because it happens. It is sad to say that it happens but it does. I have met so many wonderful staff members at IUN it amazes me. I have had many cool professors and only one professor that I won't get started on. All in all I LOVE my experiences at IUN so far and I am going on my...
Read moreI would give 5 stars, I love this campus. However, as a commuting campus there should be a number where I can get ahold of someone who is of the human flesh. I should not have to drive up to IUN at a reasonable hour like 3 or 4 PM to findout if the library is open or closed. This is a huge problem, it needs to be fixed immediately . Again, as a commuter campus this should be fixed. Some of my fellow students drive up to an hour to campus, luckily I only have to drive 15 minutes. Still, why should I have to drive at all just to findout that the library is closed. There have been times where on Christian holidays the library is closed, however on Muslim or Jewish holidays the library is open. There needs to be someone at the campus that can pick up a phone and let us know if it is open or not. I know students who only have internet connection through your campuses computers , so even though it is 2019 they cannot findout online. This needs to be fixed asap. When it is I will rate this...
Read moreThe stars above are only in reference to how IU as a whole does their student accounts collections. They lie to you.
If you are ever late on a payment to them and you no longer need to take classes, a transcript or your diploma. DO NOT PAY THEM. They promised to remove it from my credit if I paid them in full, and they did not, and they claimed there is no record of anyone offering me such. I wasted 895 dollars for nothing.
If its not going to be removed from my credit I have no reason to pay you. Don't fall for it. Don't pay them unless you need something from them.
I could have used that money for a medical bill I have, they, the medical company, agreed they'd remove it from my account and they already did one, so at least the people I owe my medical bills too, are actually honest. I wasted my money to IU collections. Don't do it if you don't need them. Save your money, use it for something that will be deleted or for a current bill, or something...
