Lake Etta County Park — Attraction in Calumet Township

I like the "Old Lake Etta". Back in the 1990's You can drive your Car all the way around to the back of the lake. Now you park for $5.00 (If your lucky and there is no Parking Attendant on site).and you walk. The fishing was better in the back. Fishing off the little peers "Suck" 😅 The folks who live nearby already know when the lake will be stocked. They sit right there with their baited poles in the water. As soon as the fish are dumped in? They immediately get bites 😡 The guys don't seem to want females fishing near them; Unless they old grandma looking women. You can only fish with 2 poles. The game warden will pop up out of nowhere to see of you have a fishing license. Nope! This place has changed drastically...

There is a trail that connects to the Little Calumet River Trail, however it is gated off for some reason. Meaning you can not walk/bike through the park and if you're coming from the Little Calumet River Trail you have to go half a mile around, down streets with no sidewalks and no shoulders, to get in or out.
