Subway — Restaurant in Calumet Township

I just stopped in to get some food real quick on the way to school. There were 2 people working behind the counter but only one lady was actually making food and ringing customers up. The other lady seemed to be doing literally nothing. Which wouldn’t be an issue but I came in to grab something quickly and it took probably 10-15 minutes because the one person actually making food kept working on some kind of to go order or whatever it was in between making my order. There was nobody else there, just me. She kept going into the back for some reason too. Those weren’t too bad if I got the right food. But the employee finally asked me what I wanted and I said a 6 inch and I didn’t say I wanted it toasted. I didn’t want it toasted specifically. But she made me a foot long and toasted it. So I decided to just say whatever and take it because I didn’t k ow how much longer it would take to get the right order if I tried to re do it. Really poor customer service, I felt like I was inconveniencing the employee that was just focused on whatever big order she was making. And I used to work at a sandwich shop so I get that it gets busy, but you still have to make the correct order and be polite to customers. Only upside as the food...

Nastiest store, I ran 3 subway stores for years and had the best & cleanest stores in my city 5 years running, I ran across a nasty store like this one, the owner happened to be there, I told him about himself and he said if u can get these lazy workers to do thier job, have at it, 1 week later I had the store which couldn't pass health inspections prior, and was on the verge of subway corporate shutting them down, to becoming the best subway in the city in less than 30 days, I then took over his other 2 stores and did the same so it's possible, I fired all lazy employees and rehired all new staff, then I worked my a$$ off even after closing time scrubbing, I put my blood sweat & tears into these stores. So, this is just LAZINESS!!! I don't eat meat & came into this store last night to get a veggie patty, there were none, as I expected, a young teenage employee was vaping in the store, as a girl there told him he better stop or he'd get fired, he replied, I do it all the time. Yes I am reporting how disgusting this store is....

Worse experience I ever had, especially a subway. Rude staff. I waited 10 min just for someone to take my order. The place was not clean. They only had 2 options for bread at 9 in the morning. There was just me and 1 more customer that was waiting for someone to take our order, and when the employee showed up eventually she asked the other customer what bread do you want. I told the employee " I was here first ". She ignored me and repeated her question to the other customer again! Then she asked him what he would Like first and insisted that he would respond first instead of asking me what I would like and apologize for the long wait. This place should hire decent employees that want to do their job and know how a subway operates instead of lazy, Rude, inconsiderate employees such as the one I encountered. This place deserves a negative 5 stars! Don't bother buying good here. Your better off driving 2 more exits and visit a better...
