No stars if I could. Wasted my money and time. Trash food. Trash service. If you eat here you don’t even fresh fish or chicken because you can taste and smell the grease how they fry their food. Soon as you walk through the door it smells suspicious. Clearly they don’t change their grease and they don’t drop different items in different grease.FYI chicken fish and fries getting dropped down in the same nasty grease. Fish overly cooked and looks expired. Told me he couldn’t accommodate two pieces for a different fish because the type of fish it was although he messed up my order 😭 then had the nerve to get rude and say “you must have never had perch fish before” delusional statement to try to sell someone overly cooked expired fish. Didn’t want to waste more time to try another fish to get the same result.

OTR Driver here. I was parked for the night at the Pilot, so decided I'd try this place, i don't eat out much as i cook on my truck, but I figured i see what this place had. I ordered the 13.99 mix up your own 2 pieces of 3 items combo platter, you choose off a vast menu fish, chicken, shrimp, etc, comes with fries, bread, n coleslaw. I through in a Peach Snapple, everything with tax included was 16.67, and the Snapple was a large bottle. Friendly employees, good food, 15 minutes food ready, they have a few tables, TV, and overall good atmosphere, restrooms, and they have quite the colorful menu you can review and order from. Try it out drivers, Lotta things to choose from off the menu. The only thing I didn't see was silverware or napkins, I had my own..lol.

Stopped today, and darn, am I glad we did. Hands down the best fried catfish I have had, EVER! It was seasoned perfectly, light and buttery. I'm always so leary of trying fried catfish because it seems to be rubbery everywhere else. It was heaven. I can't wait to get back there already. The service was friendly, served with a smile. Only downfall was very few tables and it was hotter than all get out. But the catfish made up for it. I will be back!!! I took photos but was already just about done.

Been wanting to eat here for a while. I'm a truck driver that comes to the TA from time to time across the street. My first time there was today(02/16/2024), and I must say that it was a terrible experience for the simple fact that I'm 1 man, ordering for 1 man. I told the lady that I wanted a catfish dinner and shrimp on the side. 6 shrimp is what I told her. She rang me up and told me that my total would be $29 and some change, I thought to myself that it was a kind of steep price, kinda too hungry to really care, and given the side of the country and what I order I thought that maybe that's why the price was so high. After receiving my order and walking back to my truck in the wind and cold and in a hurry to get out of it, I sat down to eat, only to find that the silly lady that took my order charged me for a whole catfish dinner AND a whole shrimp dinner. I never ordered a whole shrimp dinner. Just 6 shrimp to add to my catfish dinner. So my assumption is that she's either feebleminded or thought she was slick to get more money out of me. So I guess the point of this is to say, be overly specific when you order here because they will charge you for something you didn't want and leave you with buyer's remorse. The food was good, but not $30 good. I'd rather spend that at a steakhouse with a better atmosphere and more intelligent staff that would have seen that I'm just, like I said, 1 man so there'd be no way for them to assume I'm ordering 2 freaking dinners! Or at least would have the decency to ask before they assumed. Also, my cousin ordered a chicken nugget meal, thinking it would be homemade chicken nuggets, made like they make chicken strips, and come to find out it was store bought frozen food section at Walmart chicken nuggets! Are you freaking kidding me? You mean to tell me that this place is flipping store bought food for a profit at a restaurant? Isn't the stuff you buy at the store "not for resale"? Yet this place, 2 customers in a row on our first visit thought they were slick and ripped us off entirely. We should have just went to Philly Steaks and Lemonade. The food's better there anyway, reasonably priced, and you know what you're getting without any trickery. F, J&J Fish and Chicken! F them up their stupid...

When i normally come here service is great with the young ladies at the window. Maybe they should keep it that way. I told the man at the window i wanted my food fresh because some may not know they re drop everything that is cooked. I never noticed this until i passed through last time. The guy that made my food is older ive never seen him before. I also never go on weekends mainly weekdays so all of this was new. Man at the window I'm guessing he is the owner because he acted that way. He told me i was his last customer for the night. And he doesn’t want to hear what was done last week. Not only was the cook the same man but the guy at the window had the nerve to have an attitude because i wanted fresh food. I am a truck driver often stuck parked next door within the last 3 weeks Ive spent hundreds here literally. 80 dollars a day for 2 and 3 days do the math. I won’t be back for a while because that pissed me off. I spend too much money here to receive precooked food. Yall charge too much money for food NOT TO BE FRESH! When the other two cooks work my food is fresh. Re drop seafood can also...

I would have given 1 star, but the young lady taking the orders was so nice and helpful. It was extremely disappointing to drive over 8 hours to stop here for dinner and return back with unsatisfactory food. As a truck driver we don't have the luxury of turning back to return food. However, all the food I purchsed over 30.00 was thrown in the trash. First, the catfish steaks were lightly fried with no seasoning at all. The batter was literally sliding off the fish. There was so much grease that I had to use a paper towel to soak some off and it still did no good. The batter wasn't even slightly hard and the fish was soggy on the inside. The shrimp were cooked OK. The hot wings, buffalo wasn't hot in taste or heat. The catfish nuggets were tasteless and also greasy. The fries were soggy as well mostly because of grease and moisture from the box. My husband and I use to stop here everytime we came through the area, but after just giving our money away I don't believe we...
