Hard Rock Cafe — Restaurant in Calumet Township

I usually love the hamburgers and service here. Thus last time going in to eat, it could not have been worse!! After a longtime wait over a waitress we had our order taken. I order the exact same thing every time. This time, our order was delivered by someone else, which doesn’t bother us. Problem….. it wasn’t how I ordered mine. For some reason the fried onions were piled on the side. I lifted the bun to see it did not have any bacon on it. The burger itself looked strange and the cheese looked old. I had the waitress fix the mistake on my $20 hamburger. It was brought back with the onions no longer on the side and fine except still not in the burger and the bacon flopped on it with the same strange cheese and burger. Again it looked dried out old! I cut it in half and took a bite out of it. It was cold like it had been sitting back there all day. To add….. it did not have the barbecue sauce on it either. She brought it on the side. By this time, after the same fries on the plate, they were not hot anymore. I hadn’t eaten all day and so ready to eat my dinner there like I normally do. My stomach was growling at the same time as telling the waitress to bring me a box so I can heat it up at home to eat. I shouldn’t of had to do that after ordering an expensive hamburger. It’s obvious that I got someone’s old burger and given to me!!! I did not have the want or time to send back my dinner a second time. By this time, my husband was done eating his dinner. So disappointing and left there angry! I did try heating up my supposedly medium rare burger when I got home. It was just plain dried out like the beginning. Yes, I had to dump it. As I said before, I usually love that barbecue burger. Do I even want to try ordering it again???? It makes me wonder if I should even go back after being given that old, cold, expensive, wrong burger. What should have been done? Fix the problem! My family rented a sprinter for a birthday celebration and this was one of the stops between the wineries. During the dinner hours on Saturday, the music is louder and it has more of a club type of a feel, which was fine. The issue arose when one of the security guards (sheriffs) came and snatched the chair from under my mom, later stating that the area was not open for seating. Issue #1: AFTER snatching the chair from under her, he said no one could sit in that area. No signs were up indicating such and obvious difficulty hearing in the establishment due to the loud music; Issue #2: Instead of approaching and immediately getting physical, he could have made the request once he was in closer proximity; Issue #3: Instead of apologizing for the abuse, he continued to be irate and disrespectful.

I do not expect the business to care about it's customers on a personal level, but I expect not to receive physical harm. My mother is a cancer survivor, with permanent damage to different areas of her body. Why would the staff be so aggressive in a non-hostile situation. I am going to file a formal complaint with the BBB as well as reach out to a few other outlets to ensure that that sort of physical abuse does not happen to anyone else. Extremely...

I would have done four stars on everything. The food was good but my 80-year-old mother got sick in the next day, she was having problems with diarrhea all day, which worried me because I didn't want her getting dehydrated. We didn't eat anything before we came to the buffet and they were claiming it could have happened before, just all types of petty excuses for VIP. She got through it okay. I think it was the buffet chicken because I didn't have chicken and I didn't get sick. I did call in and tell them, they dismissed it and claimed it sounded like I was trying to scam them. Telling me that people call up there all the time and say that trying to get free s*. I think it's more important to notate getting sick. They ain't going to give me nothing I ain't got or can't get... Except for all my losings back 🤣. Anyhow, they should have some kind of protocol for that. Maybe other people didn't call in and maybe they called in and got the same kind of headwind we got. Other than that I like going there, I'll go back to the buffet but I realize it's always a chance.
