The entire massage I kept thinking about my glass of wine I didn't get to help me relax for the experience, at a winery! . Literally, 8 minute arrival after the 30 minute suggested time & all I got was aggravated while waiting to relax with a massage. The check-in personal needs training. The massage itself was great, all the premeditated assistance, failed. I had 2 girls ask me what drink I wanted while filling out paperwork before turning me over to the lockers saying directions are in there incase I forgot, since I was a repeat customer. I went in the changing room only to open several unlocked lockers, some empty with no robes and others with peoples personal belongings, so I could only assume they received similar poor directions like I did and if I didn't ddidn't figure this out someone will be soon looking at my personal belongings. JUST A LITTLE UNNECESSARY STRESS AT A SPA. YOU can do better, Gervasis. Never in my life would I think I had to wait for a 3-4 oz glass of wine to relax at a Winery until after my massage at their spa. Honestly, I was so annoyed I almost left. Instead I went back out front and informed the front desk I can not find a locker with a robe and I don't see directions. 😒 Once they wasted more of my "time" before the massage, which evidently wasn't enough for them to pour me 3 to 4 ounces of wine from the Winery we were surrounded with, was wasted to receive directions on how to lock up my stuff and get a robe so I could hurry up and wait in the spa room while everyone else around me chewed and sipped. Very annoying. The massage was nice, but the front desk needs training. They were not informative or inviting and literally talked to me about not enough time to have a glass of wine before my paid massage at a Winery, and nothing else that could help bring me back for more services. Dumb. Just so dumb. Get better and be better. Next time I won't be so nice when I'm paying for a relaxed experience, if I come back. I'm a little undecided. I don't like to complain or lead when I come to relax, but I wish I was more outspoken because it's making me question this...
Read moreThe spa itself is beautiful and welcoming and the staff very kind and professional but I do not think it lived up to the standard you would expect from Gervasi. There are essentially no amenities (minus a shared sitting room with some snacks) that make it easy to justify the price you pay for a lackluster massage. I did the 80 minute signature with a headache relief add on. I asked for medium pressure but basically felt like I was just being lightly rubbed with moisturizer even though I asked my masseuse multiple times to increase pressure. She did not ask me at the beginning if I had any problems areas that needed worked out which I thought was odd as well. The sitting area is pretty but is shared by all and gets a little crowded between appointments and did not get tended to regularly while we were there. The changing room is small and awkward as well. At checkout I wasn’t given an option to tip any differently than 20% as the person checking me out put me on the spot and did not give me a chance to look at what I was being charged for nor did I ever receive my receipt I was supposed to be emailed. I’m still mind boggled over spending $322 on probably the least impressive...
Read moreThe resort is beautiful, the spa specifically has very elevated and relaxing decor and it’s clean. Staff is friendly and respectful. I did my dazzle dry manicure with Samantha who was thorough and I loved my nails. My husband and I then did the relaxation duo full body massage. My husband enjoyed and felt his muscles relax. As for me, I did feel relaxed however my therapist had very light hands despite me telling her several times to increase the pressure to medium and I asked to focus on upper back and neck, she did not do the neck nor the scalp and face. My husband’s therapist did those though. It just felt like someone putting lotion on me , not really a massage. It is overpriced and you don’t get your money’s worth considering there is no sauna and no steam room, they did not even give us the heated neck pillow, the tranquility room is open to other areas and you hear the talking and the massage is inefficient, even shower room amenities were not available. Generous with snacks and refreshments. I would come back for the manicure and the winery, definitely...
