I called in for a warranty repair on a Bosch dishwasher I had recently purchased from Lowes. When talking to the customer service rep (Carley or something like that) she wanted to know if I had purchased the unit from their facility. I told them that I had not but had contacted them as they were listed as one of the few service centers in the area for Bosch. She informed me that Lowes had to file the warranty claim and that there was nothing she could do for me. I informed her that I had no warranty through Lowes. I had the manufacturer's warranty and that was good for one year from the purchase date according to Bosch. She then got huffy with me and ignored everything I had just said. She then repeated to me to call Lowes for warranty repair if I had bought it there.
I called Lowes and talked to an employee that said she was a veteran to the appliance department of many years. She had no idea what the service rep from the Appliance Wizard was talking about. Manufacturer's warranty IS warranty until it is out of coverage that should be honored and engaged from a Bosch Service Center. Appliance Wizard is a service center for Bosch. It is that simple.
I called Mid American Service who is the other local dealer for Bosch. I had a service call setup under my manufacturer's warranty scheduled inside of ten minutes. For any of my future needs I plan to use their service.

Read moreIf I could rate them a 0 star, I totally would. I have now had Sheldon at my house once a week for the last 6 weeks to “fix” my freezer. My initial call to them was because my freezer was staying around 32 degrees and reading hi temp. The first time someone came out to assess the freezer he wasn’t actually qualified to fix it so I had to wait another week for someone to come work on it. The following week, Sheldon came, replaced a part then all the sudden a line was leaking before he left that hadn’t been leaking for the 3 hours he was there. Ever since, my freezer works for 2 days then it’s at 80 degrees, obviously worse than before. When asked if someone else could come fix the freezer, the said no the same person has to come back since it’s a recall and refuses to send anyone else after 6 weekly calls that the job they did isn’t working. I've had appliances less than 6 months. The 1st washer had broken springs when I got it. They replaced it but upcharged me and now washer number 2 is broken. I'm a small household of 2 people, it is not seeing rugged use. I also come to discover my dryer has a bad heating element. I call to use my warranty. They will send someone out, not for 2 weeks mind you, but all he can do is tell me what's wrong with it, which I already know. In order to get it fixed I have to bring the unit to their store.
