Ken Wright Cellars is a phenomenal wine producer in the Willamette valley. Beyond having decades of experience and producing some of the best wines in the world, they have also helped the community every step of the way. They are amazing people. Ken and Karen Wright have being incredible stewards of the land and devoted time and countless funds to help uplift the community through generosity and commitment to maintaining our history. Ken still has a hand in every bottle produced, with some 40+ years of experience in this valley, and Ken and Karen continue to be helpful and involved in the community here. I am a local and I have tasted the wines throughout the years. They are consistently wonderful expressions of the complexity of what pinot noir can be. They offer many single vineyard productions of amazing pinot that showcase every aspect of the Willamette Valley. I recently had a full tasting experience and learned even more to further my appreciation. Everything is taken into consideration. Everything they do is built on relationships and the common good. This winemaker is truly a gift to the valley and should not be missed in your Willamette Valley, world class, wine experience! Cheers! We are so lucky! Go and take it all in! Enjoy the very best and feel good...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Carlton! The lofts were a pleasant surprise – they were nicely appointed, clean, and very spacious. Carlton is a charming town with friendly people, good restaurants, and easy access to any winery or tasting room within the Willamette. Best of all, the lofts are owned by one of the most iconic wineries in the Willamette, Ken Wright, which made it the perfect starting point and home base for exploring the Willamette. The tasting we had at Ken Wright Cellars with Jansen was absolutely perfect. We sat outside at one of the tables with a fire in the middle and tasted through a cool lineup of premium, single vineyard pinots. Our favorite pinot that day was the ’18 Hirschy. I must admit that my favorite changes every time I taste a Ken Wright lineup! It is worth noting that we arrived less than an hour before closing, and I was afraid the staff would be bitter and rushing us…Jansen was the complete opposite. He was easy going and engaging throughout, and never once rushed us. Well done, Ken Wright Team! As a side note, I also highly recommend Carlton Bakery for breakfast and Carlton Coffee for...

We booked a tour here with Jaime our first day in the valley. What an experience! We had to call to book as we were here the first weekend of October which is right in their harvest. I was so thankful Jamie was able to make time for us. She took us out to one of the vineyards where we sipped on a glass of Chardonnay while she spoke to us about the biodynamic of the vineyards and wine making process. She clearly has a passion for wine, and I loved learning about it.

We went to an old post office turned art studio for a private tasting where we also enjoyed a meet and cheese board.

Jamie talked more about each wine and the history of Ken Wright. It was truly a special experience. Two of our party even ended up joining their wine club.

We got lucky and Mr Ken Wright himself just happened to be pulling up when we got back to the old depot and got to meet him and get a picture with him.

Highly recommend a stop here and a tour if...

I sent an email on an off chance, seeing if there was a possibility of tagging along on a tour while my wife and I were on our honeymoon not expecting much due to the late notice... But J'Aime went above and beyond to give us such an incredible experience and private tour of the winery. We were able to visit the immaculate vineyards, sample wines, learn about the history of the winery and local terroir, and even got to meet the legend himself who was just the kindest. We greatly appreciated Ken and J'Aime for giving their time to make part of our honeymoon so very special. If you are thinking about visiting any winery in Willamette this is the place to be. True perfection of craft starting in the vineyards with a dedication to knowing the local terroir. Every wine here was stellar as always, but of course the Pinots are the true beauties. 10/10, 5 stars, standing ovation. So much love from us!

Really enjoyed our visit and tasting at Ken Wright Cellars. Seated at an outdoor table in the garden/patio area on a perfect day, everything was spot on. Our host, Maria, was new to the area and to her post at the facility. Her product knowledge, her presentations, and her excitement for what she was doing was SO refreshing. Having been in the industry for many years it was truly a treat to see someone embrace their position with such energy, enthusiasm, and vigor. We traveled through the Willamette Valley, Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coastal area, and the Central Coast (CA) visiting numerous wineries. Must say, our host, Maria, at Ken Wright Cellars made the most enjoyable and lasting impression. Their wines are excellent examples of the Northern Willamette Valley. Highly Recommended...and many thanks!
