Lots of potential but a work in progress. The waterfront was rebuilt and replanted with native plants AND is making a really nice comeback. An absolute symphony of bird sounds abound. However, you look east and see the refineries (not exactly scenic) and across the water is a landfill. The pier/outcrop was buggy and this is only May.. I can't even imagine how bad it must be in the summer. I did not see any bat boxes which would be a nice natural predator for the bugs. I saw red winged black birds, various herons, egrets, and more. Great long paved walking path, some up and down to it but not very challenging. At the one end there is a really nice baseball field and soccer fields (which both were busy, not packed but busy). Lots of parking and dog friendly. Cons: the watershed is still recovering so not great yet, there is literally a plane whooshing by every 60 seconds... and I do mean every 60 seconds... the fencing they bought is pretty flimsy plastic and already breaking in many places even though it...

Another trail along the water behind some homes. Plenty of wildlife, including Deer, rabbits, cranes, and other fowl.
Some sewage pipes draining into this part of the river, causing some offensive odor along the way.
