We are so blessed to have Jonaki as our daughter Lily’s Art Instructor. With her Master’s Degree in Microbiology and her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, she is undoubtedly one of the most unique, intelligent, highly educated and talented individuals that you might ever meet. Her amazing passion for her craft and careful guidance over her students is reflected in the beautiful artwork that the children produce with astonishing consistency. Her discipline and strict attention to detail along with her warm heart is a fabulous combination of attributes and creates a remarkable pathway to teaching success. In doing so, she gains not only the focus of her students but the reciprocated respect and desire to succeed by continuously working on and developing their prowess as budding artists. Our family was fortunate enough to be invited by Jonaki to her home for a religious and cultural gathering. We were so impressed by all the artwork on display as well as the incredible dance routines prepared by the children for the event. Their dedication and desire to please all who attended was clearly a direct result of Jonaki’s guidance. It is not only a reflection of her skill as an instructor and as a motivator but the consequence of the warm and loving person that she truly is. Jonaki states that she believes in the magic of art to enhance moments of happiness and togetherness in one’s lives. And in our family’s lives, she has unequivocally achieved that goal. Jonaki is an excellent teacher!

She is a talented artist and a natural-born teacher. She encourages & inspires her students [children & adults] to do better each time.

She goes the extra mile. She doesn't look at the clock when teaching. She encourages me to try drawing different types of subjects and learn different drawing & painting techniques. She has encouraged me to enter my work in competitions, including those in which Jonaki & her daughter have submitted entries!

Jonaki has taught me to draw with coloured pencils and to paint with water-colours. She has showed me how to draw and paint portraits, still-life, and landscapes.

She has taught me for only 5 months but I can see the improvement in my work already. I also feel much more comfortable and confident when I start drawing, than I did, 6 months ago.
