Newbury Donut is THE BEST! Newbury Donut is my “go to” every time I have a morning meeting that I want to delight folks with the fluffiest, tastiest, consistently lovely donuts! They are always a BIG hit! The owner, Ted, he is such a welcoming and kind person. He makes me feel like I go in there every single day to buy his donuts, even though it can be quite some time in between visits. He even remembered my name before I said who I was when I called this morning to preorder a 2-dozen (plus some) for a quick run in and go! Going into Newbury Donut makes me feel a “step-back-in-time” moment, where you stop in your neighborhood donut shop and enjoy a little community interaction. I had just finished a long night shift and was exhausted and a little cranky. All I wanted was a chocolate chip donut and my bed. I walked in and they had sold out early so I said thank you anyway and went to walk out. The owner said hold please; his wife got me a cup of coffee and then he walked out with a freshly made chocolate chip donut, oversized and huge with tons of chips and he did this just for me.
