This evening I took my daughter to practice volleyball. The park has no volleyball courts so we utilized the racquet ball court as it is a no reservation first come first serve court. Upon mine and my daughter’s arrival the court was occupied. We politely asked if they were just getting started or wrapping up. The 2 young ladies and young man were polite and let us know they were wrapping up. While we patiently waited for the court to open back up we used the tennis courts. When the court opened we went in and I started practicing with my daughter. About 10 minutes into our time on the court a couple with their child came in and demanded we leave the racquetball court and use the tennis court bc they were there to play racquetball. The couple proceeded to be aggressive blocking the door to the court. The woman proceeded to come inside and yell at me telling me we needed to leave the court. Asking me if this Is this the example I want to set for our daughter. Lady 100% I refuse to allow two grown adult bullies to push us off a court we patiently waited to be open as it is first come first serve. They rudely proceeded to stay inside on the court playing behind my minor daughter. Their actions were...

Secret Lake Park – A Peaceful Hidden Gem

Secret Lake Park is one of Casselberry’s best-kept secrets—a beautiful, quiet spot perfect for relaxing, exercising, or spending time with family. Tucked away from busy streets, this park offers a little bit of everything, whether you love nature, sports, or just a peaceful place to unwind.

The walking trails are shaded and well-maintained, leading you through lush greenery and along the edge of the lake. There’s a scenic boardwalk where you can pause to watch turtles, fish, and birds enjoying the water. If you love fishing, the pier is a great place to cast a line and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

For those looking to stay active, the park has basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, and plenty of open space for outdoor fun. Families will love the playground, which has plenty of room for kids to climb, slide, and play. There’s also a community center that hosts events and activities.

Whether you’re here for a morning jog, an afternoon picnic, or just a quiet moment by the water, Secret Lake Park is a perfect escape. It’s clean, well-kept, and full of natural beauty—a place where you can slow down and enjoy the simple joys of...

I recently visited Lou Gardens with my four-month-old for their monthly storytelling session, and it was an experience to remember! Although we arrived super late, the staff was kind enough to still let us in. The session was absolutely wonderful—a lively and engaging performer with a guitar captivated the children with songs, dances, and playful interactions. The energy was contagious, making everyone laugh and clap, even my four-month-old was enthralled by the joyful atmosphere.

After the storytelling, we strolled through the gardens, which offered a serene and peaceful environment. The beauty of the lush plants and calming pathways was perfect, and my baby even drifted off to sleep, soothed by the music and surrounded by nature’s tranquility. The best part? This amazing experience was free! I can’t wait to come back and make this a monthly outing for us. Highly recommend Lou Gardens for parents and...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful Park, But Not Ideal for Families with Toddlers This park is beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained. I visited with my children—ages 13, 11, and 8—plus my baby girl, and we had a lovely time. The walking paths are scenic, and there are plenty of shaded picnic areas with tables and benches to sit and relax. My oldest enjoyed the basketball courts, while the younger two had fun at the playground. I sat comfortably in the picnic area where I could keep an eye on everyone. It was a calm and pleasant visit, and I do plan on returning again soon. However, one concern I have is the proximity of the walking path to the water, which lacks any sort of barrier or protective fencing. While it wasn’t a problem during this visit, I don’t plan to return once my baby starts walking independently. For families with small, curious toddlers, this could be a safety risk. Overall, this is a great park for older children and adults looking for a peaceful outdoor space—but families with little ones should be cautious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Secret Lake Park has got a lot of great amenities. There is a fishing dock, ramps for non motorized boats, 2 tennis courts, a racketball court, a basketball court, a soccer field, clean single occupant restrooms, a playground, and plenty of rental spaces great for gatherings. A lot of the people out there help pick up the unfortunate pieces of trash, so it stays a clean park. There are benches all along the walking path and shade trees everywhere. I've been to many different family or scouting hosted events at this park amd would recommend it to anyone looking for a great local place in Casselberry
