Good day. I am writing about the Yardistry gazebos that we purchased at Home Depot. I would like to complain about your product. We provide professional services for the assembly and installation of gazebos. And the other day we assembled gazebos of your production. Everything would be fine if the roof sheets and all the metal elements of the roof were not covered with film on both sides, and not just film, but a material similar to scotch tape. We usually assemble 10x10 fit gazebos in 4-5 hours. And the day before yesterday we assembled it for 12 hours. Of these, 6 hours we tore off the protective (transport) film. I notice this not the first time, but I encountered it myself for the first time. I am very upset. I see that you guys do not monitor the quality and customer reviews at all, since customers encountered this 4-5 years ago and since I encountered this again, you do not draw any conclusions.

I normally try to avoid most HDs in favor of a different big box. But, sometimes you have no choice. I had to find M4 screws and the smallest on the racks was 6. I asked a guy in the screw isle and he pointed and told me they were in a drawer back there. I couldn't find that anywhere and asked an employee walking by. I asked if he had a second and he replied "I'm always busy, what do you want?" ((Keep in mind it's a nicely dressed outfit so, I'm thinking that it's a manager.)) He tells me everything is in the aisle I was in first and there's nothing in the back of the store. Now I remembered why I avoid it. Plus their stores are always a mess!

The purchase of the materials in the store was smooth. After that the process became difficult. Being charged delivery fees, in home delivery, even tho the service was not provided. A two month wait for install. The install team arriving within the scheduled time frame, 8:37am, and saying they could not do any work since furniture was not moved. We were told the install team would be able to work around furniture. A call was made and I assisted the install team with moving furniture so they would begin work. The two man crew began taking up my existing plank click flooring. Once one room was stripped one installer began laying the new floor. The second installer left, because he forgot tools, for about an hour. Once the second installer returned he informed me they had to leave early in order to pick up a child by 2pm. They removed flooring from a hallway and dining room. At this point installer #2 tells me my concrete slab is not fit for new flooring because it has humps, valleys, is uneven, and will require grinding and floating the floor. All this will cost an additional $1000. Initially he tells me just the dining room, but when I question the price he adds in the hallway, which he did not mention Initially. Installer #2 takes a "straight edge plank" and begins moving it around on the floor quickly with his hands showing me how uneven my floor is. He also says because there is thinset the floor must be ground down. I was told to pay home depot because it is home depots price and the installers dont get much of that. The installers left at 12:15pm. We then went to the store to discuss the $1000. We called and left a message for "Renee" no response. At the store, 4 different staff members including a manager were cofused regarding this $1000 charge and coukd in no way whatsoever justify it. We have since spoken to at least 3 managers none of which can tell us how the installer cane to the charge of $1000. We requested someone else come to do an evaluation of the space, sort of a second opinion to determine the validity of the claims of installer #2. This request was vehemently denied in an extremely rude manner. We feel as though installer #2 was negligent and simply did not want to work. The fact that Home depot refuses to "check the work." of its sole installer by sending someone else out is baffling. This says to us, home depot is ok with an installer upcharging home depot clients with no actual proof just his word is...

The consultant who initially sold us on the windows did a great selling job and highly impressed us. But I would say he over sold the guarantee for the quality of service in the next stages of the project. Once we confirmed the purchase it almost seemed like everything went wrong. Communication with anyone was almost impossible. It was a series of leaving messages and waiting several days for a reply, if receiving one at all. Once we finally got the installation scheduled, it was cancelled on the morning of the installation day (we were notified by text, not even a call). That entire week we were calling to get a reschedule day... no communication was given to us, all the information we received was when we called someone ourselves. On the installation day, 2 guys just show up at our door and say they are here for installation.... we were never notified that they were coming, what day, time... nothing. We relayed this concern to the project manager who came for a quick visit. He promised to call us once the project was complete.... we are still waiting for that call. On top of that, one of the installation guys was smoking on the job and when we asked if he was smoking he flat out lied to us (it was a window installation.... there was a giant hole in the wall.... we could clearly smell the cigarette INSIDE the house!!). It also felt like the installation guys were rushing to finish... they cleaned up in a hurry... leaving several things behind... including nails on the sidewalk... where our toddler walks on (very sloppy and dangerous)! The final inspection guy came by and was in and out in under 5 minutes, barely checking the work. He also did not cover up the holes where the nails where placed saying he could be held liable.... the installation guys said the inspector had to do this because he had to see the nails. So our windows are technically incomplete... yet The Home Depot has declared them finished. Overall... just really disappointed from a company who promises such great quality. I would NOT...
