November 10, 2025. Incredibly unpleasant and unhelpful person on the phone. Sarcastic.
I requested a quote through CP's web site to rent a mobility scooter for a week and for it to be delivered and picked back up from the Eastern Iowa Airport. Received a vm back from Maddie: that, "yes, we can do that and here is the price. It will be an additional $75 for delivery. Get back to us and let us know what you are thinking."
I call to inquire about setting this up and encounter one of the most unpleasant people I have in a good while. Gave her all the above information, only getting the name wrong and saying "Maggie." (My scribbly post it note.) I was on the phone for at least 4 minutes with the unpleasant staff person saying 'I don't know what to tell you, we don't have a staff person by that name ' and not understanding that when I said "mobility scooter " that it's an electric scooter.
I went to my email and read it word for word to the misery gut on the phone. Realize the vm was from"Maddie," not "Maggie." 'Oh, oh yeah, Maddie," from the staff on the phone. 'Oh, yeah, an electric scooter, now I know what you mean and can check availability.' Surely staff at a medical supply store would understand these are the same thing.
Unhelpful staff on the phone: "well, i don't know what to tell you because we don't have it in the system."
I then requested they call me back and clarify bc the original staff that left the vm said no problem and the staff on the phone said we can't do that.
Staff called back and said they checked with their manager and they couldn't deliver it to the airport bc they "don't want to be walking around the whole airport trying to find you."
Crappiest service I've received in a long time and it pushed me to come do this review. SO unpleasant. So disappointing. So needlessly...
Read moreSometimes when you write a review the response from the organization is so outstanding to fix the issues that you feel a need to comment Caron the the manager over the respiratory therapists and a respiratory therapist herself took over my case. We have worked together, I have cried and struggled & she has coached me, listened, let me vent about my frustration. Above all she has made me have a 'can do we will fix and achieve this together attitude" To me it says a create deal about a team leader and an organization to have such an individual willing to go the extra mile!!
I picked up my CPAP on July 1st. The respiratory therapist told me I'll check in with you at 7 days, 14 days, & 21days. Guess what 'crickets!!!' I hear from her if I email with questions, comments or concerns and I'm made to feel like I'm pestering her. I was told today in an email "I do not need to be informed" --- Strange I thought the respiratory therapist was my 'life-line' with the machine questions and issues. Granted I'm under CarePro for my machine and supplies based upon my prescription from my truly fabulous neurologist Margart Stracuzzi. I will never again contact the respiratory therapist!! (I have made a choice not to put her name in this review) Very disappointed!! CPAP is not an easy thing to get used to having to use and being treated as a 'burden' when you seek assistance is very dishearting.

Read moreI’ve used this location on 10th st in CR for over 13 years and they have always had very helpful staff… until now! I had an emergency with my bipap on a Friday night. I cannot sleep without this machine so Saturday morning I was there as soon as they opened hoping they could work me in. The gal at the desk said I had to have an appointment for the issue I was experiencing and she looked up the schedule and said it was full and they could make appointment for next week. I replied so I can’t sleep until next week? She said sorry we’re full! The former staff would have done everything in their power to work me in especially since I was the ONLY customer there at the time! I will do everything in my power to take my business elsewhere…. What a shame after 13 years.
Update: I called Monday morning and got a very accommodating support staff lady that was willing to try to set up a loaner machine for me during a 15 minute slot she has later today and will notify me if she is able to get it done. So thankful to see the special effort made on my behalf… when I find her name I’ll tell her boss she...
