The appeal of this park is that it has a bit of everything but is smaller than most parks. This park has a couple of basketball courts, about four tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool (though, the hours are a bit quirky), handball courts (not team handball, but the one where you use your hand to hit the ball against a wall), a rubberized track (about 5 laps is a mile, as the distance of one lap is less than a standard 400 meter track), baseball fields, a couple of playgrounds, and picnic table areas. I personally come here a lot for the track for my running workouts. The track can get crowded on evenings, but navigating and weaving in between people usually isn't an issue. Walkers generally stay towards the outside of the track, while the runners tend to stay towards the inside of the track. If the track isn't your thing, there is also a circular-ish pathway around the park (and I think it is about a half mile if you take the long way). Just a note about the bathrooms, though. Even though the park closes around 10 PM, I've noticed that the bathrooms tend to close a lot earlier (closer to 9 PM or so). That caught me by surprise a few times, so be mindful of the possibility that the bathrooms might close before the park closes. Parking can get a bit hairy on a few of the weekday evenings (I think it's because of swimming lessons for kids), so something to keep in mind. However, circling around the parking lot a few times usually does the trick. Overall, a great park that offers a lot for its smaller size (compared to...

Read moreOne of our favorite local places. Kids played baseball league here but we visit often. Always feel safe, even at night. Neighbors seem to keep am eye out? Nice green track but also the 1 mile perimeter walkway with plenty of picnic benches and restrooms along the way. There's a big kids and a little kids playground areas. Restrooms are very well kept. The center has a gameroom where you can check out balls and play equipment. They even have handball and basketball courts.. and a lot of Pokémon, stops, and gyms--literally, too, next to the Olympic swimming pool!
