Prairie Farm — Attraction in Champaign

We drove there last year as a last day before school started special day for daycare in August. Turns out they close before then. Have not actually been able to experience this place yet, but seems cool. I only wish that the petting zoo portion opens sooner because some of the children get picked up a little after three so they would not be able to actually pet any of the animals since it is only open from 3 to 5 and we live about 45 minutes away so there would be no way that they could pet the animals and make it back in time for the parents to pick their children up. We visited for the first time a few days ago. It was cute but rather small. They have a small climber for kids. I love going to different parks with my kids but I don't know that I would go to this one again. The animals are cool, and so is free admission... but you can only see them so many times. Our family loves Prairie Farm. The petting zoo area is such a great interactive experience for kids...this year we visited with baby and mama goats and brushed a miniature pony.
