Went there for the first time, here are my thoughts:
We paid for 2 intermediate races and 4 experiences. One thing I noticed was that they seemed to be understaffed. From paying for everything at the front desk, to wanting to play the 4 experiences that we paid for. We stood there for at least 5-10 minutes waiting for someone to assist us. During one of those waiting periods (5-10 min for each experience), we had to ask one of the bartenders to get someone to assist us which added another 5 minutes of waiting. Either you guys are understaffed, or y'all just don't care to do your job.
The experiences were okay. We did Limitless, Hologate, Hyperdeck, and the 7D shooting.
7D shooting (forgot what it's actually called): This one was the worst of the 4. The motion controls for the guns were not accurate. I was shooting in one spot, but the hit mark on the screen was nowhere near the spot I was aiming. There wasn't a reticle/crosshair so you had no idea where you were aiming. I give a 1/5 stars
Hyperdeck: The game we picked was the Dreamland one. It was fun until one of my family member's VR completely shutdown mid session. 3/5 stars
Hologate: Because we had technical difficulties in the previous one, we got to do this one for free. So, we could've done this one twice if we wanted too. The one we picked was the BeatSabre clone. It wasn't as enjoyable for me, but everyone else seemed to like it. 2/5 stars
Limitless: Hands down the best one at Andretti. The VR lasertag was really fun especially since that was my first time playing laser tag. Still need to play actual Lazer tag though. I was scared I might fall off the edge but I was fine once I got use to the VR. It was just the 3 of us playing, but more people could be more fun and hectic. 5/5
Now, the moment you all been waiting for, The Racing.
This was my first time kart racing and I loved it. The first race to be specific.
The first race: This one was on the green track. I was surprised I didn't crash into a wall since I don't know how to drive a real car. Good on me I guess😅. I slightly drifted when turning corners because of the speed I was going. I got 4th place. Overall, a great first race.
Second race: This one was a bitter disappointment. We got the blue track this time and and the staff constricted everything. I went noticably slower this time, because I wasn't sliding as much on corners. Every time I had to turn I felt my kart slow down even when my foot wasn't on the brakes. There was this one particular corner where my kart completely stopped every time. This constant speed decrease took the fun out of it because I didn't feel like I was fully in control and couldn't reach my potential.
The Cons: Briefing video was honestly stupid and pointless. It had zero instructions on how to safely mount and dismount your kart, it had no mention on how to put your helmet on correctly, it did not explain how to control your kart and what each button does. And it didn't show you how to adjust your seat. Like, I didn't know there was a reverse button and boost button. If the video didn't explain it, then at least the people working there could've said something. A simple "hey, press this blue button to go faster" would have been nice. During my first race, nobody was waving any flags as mentioned in the video. I almost crashed because there was no indicator that the race had finished and needed to slow down to enter the pits. I was going full speed. The second race they did though. I got bumped into during both races at full speed. This could have been avoided if each kart had rear view mirrors as you could easily just see the person behind you and move over to avoid getting rammed at full speed.
I can understand why this place is overpriced. $80 for a 10 year old is absured.
I would like to go back and try the Adult races, but that second race left a bitter taste...

This is my families first time at this place. We did research and based off our kids age range they needed to be on junior for gokart. We also looked at VR and saw it was $15 for 7 minutes which is outrageous. We went up to the counter at First Line and talked to a lady who was explaining a promotion of Buy One Get One. We have 3 racers so we took that as we Buy one race and get another and the third racer will get nothing. She explained he will get VR which sounded great. She explained limitless VR. She said no that's not how it works and explains it the same way by saying it's buy one get one. She gives a look of like how do you jot understand. The wife and I say again what is a Buy one Get one to you? After her adding no new information we ask to see something in writing since she was no help. We didn't say this but we were definitely thinking it. She got a coworker over a young kid who says Buy One Get One just like she did. We ask does that mean they all get VR with their race? He says no just like the other lady. The wife and I are just like they clearly don't know what Buy One Get One means. My wife asked the exact same question the same exact way. Do we get free VR with each racer purchase. He then says yes......passing that annoyance. They says limitless VR multiple times. Tell me if I'm wrong does limitless mean 7-10 minutes.. go ahead I'll wait while you google it. The misleading advertisement is the Game is called limitless or the VR experience is called limitless. I would have preferred just getting one of the racers included in a Buy One Get one which they said we could not do. Also, there was a mini race that was a small L shape which they said maybe if we came during the week they could go on the big one but nope. Same money small mini race. Oh and I will attach pictures of how small this race was and how the lights around it were broken at the time of my kids racing. I am beyond mad about the experience so far. I'm still here about to experience the VR floor my kids.
Update:
Got to the VR experience which was told was 7-10 minutea and it was 7. I know 60 seconds only why complain. At this point it's just less and less and less. Now we were told based off the kids age this was the only track even though as mentioned above the racing dude upstairs said it depends on weekend vs week day. As we were walking out we noticed kids who are younger were on the better track. We asked a parents who was watching and she explained it's actually based off height. We went to the front and all 3 of the kids were tall enough for the other experience.
Final thoughts: I think what happened it the rep who sold me didn't offer the other option for racing. The buy one get one promotion both employees were terrible at explaining the promotion and giving any guidance. We told them this was our first time and expectations were all over the place. Limitless definition means without end, limit or boundary. Even when I excitedly told my son in front of both employees that they get all the VR they want. Nobody corrected. I asked my kids what they thought and all agreed other options like Pecan Lake and Fat Cats was a better deal and way better experience. I personally also found both of those options cheaper.
If I didn't have this bad experience I would have thought slightly overpriced except the better racing would have been awesome. Still can't recommend at this time.
UPDATE for Response: Thanks for taking my feedback but not surprised you don't want to fix it by actually communicating to me. I recommend to any and all...
Read moreOverall had an excellent experience, but mileage may vary. Not perfect by any means but didn’t have anything that was anywhere close to a deal breaker.
The go karting - similar system to most places, buy races, then use them, but Andretti runs on a scheduled system - you report to the briefing area within 5 minutes of your time. This works fine on paper, however it makes it difficult to do races when the facility is not decently busy given the separate race classes (intermediate versus adult), as wait times are longer than, per se, K1 karting, which their on-demand based system means you could walk in and immediately race against basically anyone without having to wait - in this case I had to wait about 40 minutes for an adult race around 6:30pm on a Friday as there wasn’t much active demand. In addition to the demand issues, the briefing and turnaround time for races is quite lengthy and means you can only get through one race every 30 minutes, which isn’t horrid but again, is a bit slower than other places. Many other reviewers and people leaving feedback have noted the karting is very slippy and runs like it’s on oil - yes, the karts are slippy, they however do rotate well and the front tire steering is sufficient to compensate. The best way I’d describe it is that the karts act like an outdoor karting track except where letting off the gas or steering decently immediately induces rotation. The karts are very easy to neutral steer as a result. Most corners cannot be taken at decent speed without some form of rotation. The track doesn’t really require braking as a result of the rotation and slipping. It’s a unique style that isn’t entirely realistic to most other racing, so I can’t recommend it for true competitive karting, but even as a experienced driver myself, I didn’t have much of a problem after getting used to it through a lap; I was able to be 3-5 seconds faster than second place in terms of comparison to the general public, so skill is still required. The race lengths being timed instead of by laps is very bothersome and is the main issue with the karting experience. The timer for the 7 minutes per race does seem to continue during a yellow flag (it does stop during a red flag stoppage) which makes it very easy to get nipped of racing time. The races do feel short, and I’m only able to complete 6-7 full clean laps usually which is somewhat poor value. Again, not a deal breaker, but not ideal either. Lap times are provided in email which is appreciated, and overall times are displayed on screens outside the track.
The main other reason for this visit was for Andretti’s duckpin bowling. The lanes were clean and fairly maintained and I had no issues here. My only complaint would be that the tablet screens for controlling the lane feel a bit artificial; it’s almost as if you’re just taking score on your own device, and the atmosphere it provides isn’t great. The augmented reality options however worked well and are great to play with, especially given the moderate difficulty of duckpin bowling compared to...
