My daughter has attended Az Dynamics for 4 years 3 of those years were gymnastics, she decided to do the all star cheer. she was placed on Junior level 1. she had a rough start of the season due to ADHD. the coaches had conversations with just me and we worked together to get my daughter to suceed. The second half of the season I had alot of praise from Kylie the head coach about how great my daughter was doing.
during the season there was a mother who micro managed the team and had put her comments to anyone that would listen about other kids and families, placing judgement where she had no business doing this with out knowing the families story. she would sit there with an excel spread sheet and give to coaches on kids attendance. ( i thought the coaches were very capiable of doiing their job!)
well the new season starts, Kylie is out due to being blessed with a healthy baby, a new director comes in!!
My daughter did try outs made level 2, after the first prcatice, out of left field Courtny the "NEW DIRECTOR" asks to speak to me and my daughter. during this conversation I was told that 8 yes 8 families were struggling with the fact that my daughter has made the team, WOW in front of my daughter!!! it is sad to me because i know that this has come down to the one parent that runs Arizona Dynamics.
needless to say she had NO documentation of what she had accused my daughter of doing during the first season. she also could not have talked to Kylie my daughters past coach, or this would not have happened.
what should be FUN, turned into a nightmare. feeling very uncomfortable we have switched teams.
everyone wants whats best for their child its just sad that adults have to be bullies! someone they should be looking up too, instead they get bullied by them. my heart breaks for my daughter as she has struggled with the conversation she will remember for the rest...
Read moreThe ownership at this gym is nothing short of a nightmare. The coaches take their lead from the owner and clearly no value placed on children. Its all about the dollar. Parents are told there is an open door but there is nothing like that here. Kids are held back, no progress can be seen for kids for long periods of time, they purposefully enter meets that their kids with their very easy routines will win. Makes the kids feel like that's normal til they get to state and see what the other kids at their level are doing. They have too many kids to push forward so they keep everything simple so the coaches don't have to do much. Kids get discouraged. My step daughter did! Then when they change gyms they see what real coaching, real support and real progress feels like. If your child has any desire to compete this is not the place. This is common industry knowledge apparently as all other gyms we spoke to said this is the norm. They are known to hold back moving kids up in levels to ensure the kid gets good scores. Everyone is a valedictorian in high school if the tests they give are from 2nd grade. Easy to get straight A's. Same idea here. They can all do well if they do elementary level skills. They do the very minimum requirements for level and this is obvious at state and national events. Avoid this place if you are wanting your kids to have a...
Read moreFront office staff is friendly, which is nice. Gym is just so overly crowded all the time. We relocated from gold metal gymnastics, since we move to this area. This facility does not even compare remotely in terms of the training your children will get. When I would watch my daughter it's just a cluster of so many kids at one time in a class, and so many classes going at once. I don't know how any of the kids focus. My daughter had been out of gymnastics for a little while and was just getting back in, which I explained to them. Most of the gym teachers are young teenagers and and are not very patient. At least not the one that my daughter got. When she fell off a beam one time she was told to do a certain amount of push ups. Our experience is, they do not critique positively and do not have the skilled coaches you would expect at other facilities. My daughter loved gymnastics before and started to hate it from being at this facility. I couldn't get her to go.I pulled her out and she is much happier at another...
