Snedigar Recreation Center — Attraction in Chandler

Went to watch grandson play in a tournament game, and had never visited these ball fields before. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, plenty of trash and recycle bins and restrooms. At ball field 1 there was limited bleacher seating but we had brought our own chairs, pop up shade and cooler with water and snacks. A commercial vendor came in with a truck selling BBQ, hot dogs, snacks and assorted munchies which were OK, not Food Channel-worthy but definitely edible. We saw the skate park area coming in and it seemed very well-constructed and designed. This venue is a large city-operated sports and community complex, and we did not have time to go around and see all the facilities there. Remodel of this park and adding the concrete pathways have made this a better experience to visit! The dugout and all major walkways revived this much needed improvement. Used to be the dusty and dirt bowl, now it's a contender. Need more restrooms added and the current ones updated. At least six ball fields with all the players, parents, coaches and spectators the lines can get long and the walk can be far depending on the field your on. There is also a skate park that is large and interesting for novice skateboarders and scooters to experienced. No on site amenities however there is a food truck on tournament weekends. A well-lit and safe public parks area where a woman can safely get in a nice walk without fear. The cement sidewalk walking path is well lit and clean bathrooms are at the entrance. It's also a great place to walk pets or bring children to use the playground area. Can't say enogh great things about this park. From soccer to baseball this is a great complex for various teams to play and the grounds are very well taken care of, great bathroom facilities, food sold on the weekends. A winner for...
