Charles Theatre — Attraction in Charles City

This place was PACKED! I can only assume that it's because of the dirt cheap admission prices. My adult ticket was $2 & my mom's (a senior) was $1! Children are also $1! The only real complaint I had was that the volume was too low. Any time there was anything funny that made the audience even chuckle (and it was a pretty funny movie - Book Club), I couldn't hear the next line. I have really good, sensitive hearing & I'm usually complaining that movies are too loud....

Great one room theater! It only plays one movie a night at 7:00pm but it's a nice place to go because movies end up here about 1-2 months after normal theaters and you get in for 2 dollars a person. Theres great popcorn and nice seating sometimes people can be a little rude but they have staff walk around the theater a couple times during the movie to prevent rude people all an all great theater and the only one in 45...

Nice theatre. Classic sesting style but comfortable. Prices are really cheap and workers are all volunteers. Movies are usually a few weeks behind. Took the kids to see movie and the theatre has booster seats available to help them see over the person in front of them, they worked ok but kids struggled to keep them on seat.
