Nevin Park — Attraction in Charlotte

Just wanted to share this awesome spot I've found for lunch, away from the hustle of the office. It's conveniently located, just about 5 minutes from NorthPark Blvd. You're gonna love the tranquility over there, it's super quiet.

For safety, there's even cameras installed so you don't have to worry about that. Plus, there's plenty of parking so you won't have to stress over finding a spot. There's also hiking trails for a quick adventure and picnic tables perfect for lunching.

Beyond that, there's heaps to do here, from a small playground to just lounging around enjoying the sun. I venture here once a week with my coworker to just unwind and soak up some rays.

Seriously, I can't recommend this park enough, it's worth checking out! Totally a top-notch...

Beautiful park with 2-5 year old and 5+ area, splash pad. A lot of people play disc or take there dogs off leash well away from the kids (please, we don't trust your dog because you do!) The "less than ideal" areas just mean diversity. Although I treat every area the same, I've went by myself during slightly busy times with my two kids 3 & 1. The only problem you'll have is big kids in the wrong area occasionally but that's every park. The splash pad and police memorial (medium sized trees with a name plaque) are accessible through a sidewalk path in the woods from the play area, or you can park right by the popular splash pad when it's open. Really liked this complex for softball/baseball tournaments. 4 fields back to back with nice spacing in between and two built-in concrete bleachers to sit or place your chair on at each field. Rounded fencing for fly balls which makes them bullets for catchers as they come down. There is no outfield sideline fencing, which posed problems in several games we watched on over throws. It would be nice if there was temporary fencing installed. Shade can be found only in grassy areas near entrance, which are great areas for in between games. Bathrooms are average ballfield bathrooms, 3 stalls for women, driers only. Concessions were provided by a catering company, so it could be dependent on their availability....
