Elizabeth River Park — Attraction in Chesapeake

The City of Chesapeake built this park right under the new Jordan Bridge with a well designed boat ramp, docks, picnic shelters, bait and snack shop with clean restrooms and friendly staff. Had a great day with my dogs at the dog park here today. Only lost the balls twice due to grass being so high and I only stepped in poop once. (Doesn't mean it was the only pile) The hair from someone brushing their dog was nice when the balls rolled through it, but there is a water fountain to wash it off.(that's a plus) Overall it was a good time had by none. Nice park to visit in Chesapeake, VA, especially if you want a change in scenery. Since it's under a bridge, it doesn't look like your stereotypical park in the woods. There's a dog park, playground, Snack Shack, pier, shelters, restrooms, and plenty of room.
