RiffHouse Pub — Restaurant in Chesapeake

I'll start with the good: Surprisingly for a bar - the food is pretty excellent. Not so surprisingly - the bands are always good (depending on which night you go - the music may or may not be your taste), but the bands are always good. There are pool tables played for quarters and the drinks are pretty affordable. Other positive note is that there is a separate side for smoking that is separate from the music area.

Negatives: The smoking side is where the pool tables are!

The biggest negative is their parking lot. There is not just a pot hole - there is a CRATER leaving their parking lot and not a whole lot of light leaving the area. I hit this two weeks ago. Mind you - I am in the parking lot, so I am going VERY slow and this crater not only popped my tire, it bent my rim, sent my hubcap flying, and damaged my wheel. I have never audibly heard the air leave my tire before until now. So here I am $1100 in the hole all because of a crater in a parking lot. I would love to send the invoice to the bar (not for them to pay it - though that would be nice), but for them to fix their parking lot. PLEASE. I was watching my husband's band play. Riffhouse Pub is the perfect place to enjoy local and occasional national music shows in the Hampton Roads area. Incredibly awesome staff, great cocktail prices, nightly drink specials, inside but separated smoking section and killer music line ups weekly. Without a doubt a 5 star comfortable friendly atmosphere and a mouth watering menu to die for. If you are ever around the Chesapeake, Bainbridge blvd area, or even if your not, its easily located and well worth the short trip from anywhere, to stop in for drinks, food and badass entertainment any day of any week of any month of every year. Would never recommend this place if you not white ! As soon as I stepped in even the ladies by the bar looked at me like what am I doing there ?!. Extremely uncomfortable! I reached for a straw she backed away like I was coming towards her ! Acted like I didn’t now she was talking about me ! Despite being polite enough the bartender served my beer in a dirty glass.
