Bali Loft Salon - Chesterfield — Attraction in Chesterfield Township

Let me begin saying I have never felt inclined to write a review of any business ever until now. On May 31 I went in to this hair salon to see Sophia that I was referred to by a friend of mine. I had gotten highlights and a root touchup and at the end I had told her that I had thought that my highlights should've went closer to my roots and she said that she would address that at our next appointment. That process at that appointment cost me $240. I went back on July 8th and had mentioned again that I would like my highlights tighter towards my roots and a darker root color. This process at this appointment cost me $297.85. When I got home I realized that my root color was way too light , I waited a couple days to call and called to make an appointment to correct the root color. Sophia, called me and in short, and verbatim, told me that she did everything perfectly and that because she did everything perfectly and I was not happy, that she, verbatim, told me that we were not a good fit because she did everything she could for me. In response I said, I have been there TWO times, I'm a new client, I've spent $550.00 ... I asked, do you not work with new clients to figure out what works best for your client to ensure your client is satisfied and happy with your services. She was extremely rude , arrogant and flippant and had no desire to offer any suggestions or, at the very least, have me come back to get me to MY desired color (not what she deemed was the perfect color for me). I was literally dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism on her part and her outright smugness, rudeness and her curt response that I ended the conversation by telling her that her lack of professionalism, disrespect, and complete disregard of any type of recourse to remedy the situation was the worst experience I've ever had with any type of service industry. $550 for hair services is very high/end. This is my second review. I took the first one down because I felt badly leaving a negative review. I decided, however, that I should leave one. Reviews are here for a reason. My hair is thick, and I like to wear it short. The Aveda salon I went to closed, so I tried Bali Loft. Marissa did a good job the first cut, but she texturized it with a razor. After the second or third cut, I had split ends everywhere due to the razor. For a following cut, I asked her not to use the razor, but she texturized it with her scissors leaving my hair extremely over texturized. I had to let it grow out and I sought out an Aveda stylist again. My advice, based on my visits, would be if you are young and have long hair, this is a nice salon for you.
