Great place! Been here a few times. Breakfast & lunch are amazing. Their caprese chicken sandwich is my favorite! My sister in law got a salad that looked incredible! She loved it! The waffles, pancakes, bacon, sourdough bread, homemade jam, eggs, BLT⌠basically everything I have had there or seen people in my party get looks and tastes wonderful. My family loves it here. We even went 2 days in a row once! My husband & I got a side of biscuits and gravy yesterday. The gravy was 5 stars. I could tell it was homemade. Very creamy, right consistency, rich, perfect amount of sausage and flavorful. The prices are decent for what youâre paying for, and the portions are perfect! We always end up with to-go boxes, and they even offer sodas to go. I met the owner on my first visit, and he was so friendly and kind. The staff is wonderful. They are very attentive and considerate. Yesterday there was a mixup and my husband and I had to wait quite a bit longer than normal for a server (never happened before btw), but as soon as my husband said something, someone rushed over. Two different waitresses were so apologetic and explained the mixup. No issue at all and to be fair, the restaurant was super busy. We are all human. We werenât mad or upset, just didnât want to be forgotten because thatâs what it seemed like. After that, they immediately initiated their top notch service and all was forgotten. Even though the mixup wasnât a big deal, I am just sharing it because I know to some people it would have been a big deal. So I am just giving a reminder that if this happens to you, just be kind and calmly let any employee know, and youâll be taken care of immediately. The staff is very competent, but we all miscalculate sometimes. Oh, and the waitress even asked if we had any food allergies before sending our order to the kitchen! It was a thoughtful touch. We will definitely keep coming back! Itâs a nice little unique spot to add into the mainstream chain of restaurants...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came in to try Maple Spot for the first time, and I am sad to say that we were both disappointed. To start, there is not any coffee cream options other than half and half. I have never been to a brunch place that did not have flavored cream to offer, and as someone who only likes coffee with vanilla cream, it was a disappointment to not have coffee with my brunch. Second, we were not given straws for our waters - not a big deal at all. I assumed Maple Spot was a straw free restaurant. But, halfway through our waters, our server, while helping the table beside us, must have realized she forgot to offer straws, and snuck them onto the table. It's one thing to not have a straw, but it's another to be halfway through your drink and THEN receive straws. One of the wrappers to the straws was ripped and exposing quite a bit of the straw. That is a big no-no. When our food arrived, we were not given silverware. We had to wait until someone came over to check on us to ask if we could have utensils to eat our meals. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and he ordered the French toast. The eggs Benedict was just okay, it was nothing to write home about; I did not take my leftovers home. The French toast, on the other hand, was not good. They are very thick slices of bread, and it was quite tough. There was far too much cinnamon. As my boyfriend stated, "It tastes like carnival food." I have only ever seen him not finish his food one time - this would be the second. The least of our concerns - the ambiance. The place is very bare, nothing to capture your eye. Just bare, beige walls. As awful as I feel to say it, we will not be returning, and I cannot say that it is a restaurant that I would recommend to my...
Read moreWent for breakfast/brunch yesterday. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was so friendly. We sat at a booth and our server came by promptly. We looked over the menu that has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. The prices are very fair. We loved that there were some out of the ordinary selections like the blueberry/lemon ricotta pancakes. We both ordered an omelette (him the Irish and me the Western) and we also ordered the pancakes to share. The portions were really good sized. Everything seemed so fresh! The toast with the homemade jam was so good. The food was amazing! The waitress was attentive and very friendly. The whole staff was from the hostess to the waitress to the gentleman walking around asking how are food was and having light conversation and the bus boy was so sweet. The cooks get a 10/10! So happy he found this place. We will...
