One of my daughters bought me a gift card so I could take the “Intro to Wheel Throwing” class. Knowing that throwing clay into pottery is a bit complicated, I was a bit skeptical one could go from “never tried before” to “hey, look, I made something” in an hour and a half. I was wrong. The class was fun and the instructor was very interactive. Even though there were six of us, she was always on hand to help out and give advice. The class is a good introduction to the craft and worth the $50 if it’s something you’ve wanted to try. It definitely caught my imagination and I plan to take more classes.

I love Silver Sage Ceramics as they have a variety of clay bodies & other ceramic materials I use, so it saves me often a trip to Denver which I really appreciate ! Also participated in a recent class this winter "Kintsugi-"ancient art of repairing broken pottery highlighted with gold leaf where I learned some new techniques and material sources to improve what I had been doing on my cracked Raku. Silver Sage is a fantastic and valuable resource for Cheyenne & Laramie County and needs to be supported by clay lovers ! Terry K

I just finished a six-week course and LOVED it! It was fast-paced and we were never bored. I felt so accomplished and felt like I learned a ton (I had only taken a couple individual classes before I dove in). I did have to scrap a design… but came in on a weekend, took my time, got done with something even more amazing than imagined… and I can’t wait to take the next class. Terra and Macey are so patient and have such different styles. It’s fantastic to take a class from either. What are you waiting for? GO SIGN UP!

I bought a beginners class for my 2 daughters and myself to see if this is something we want to invest more time in. Yes it is much more difficult than one might anticipate but we knew that going into the class. We sucked but the class was AMAZING and we had such a wonderful time. The instructor was friendly, patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. Meeting other like minded crafters was a large part of the fun as well. My daughters and I are now going to sign up for 4 2hr lessons that include studio time during the week to practice. I am very excited to see how our skill develops. I would definitely recommend attending a class if you want to learn to throw pottery, are new to the area or simply want to meet other or new crafters. I myself am new...

I took my kids to Silver Sage Ceramics today to paint some pottery and it was an amazing experience!! The studio space is so clean and organized; even the playlist was amazing! Tamara is so knowledgeable and helpful!

There are so many great options to paint and it can be simple for kiddos or there are more advanced options too. I was on the fence about painting myself but I'm so glad I did! It was so fun for all of us.

I'm also taking their beginners wheel throwing class too, which I also highly recommend!! She does such a great job of teaching basics but also giving so many options to explore and try. I feel like I'm in very capable and caring hands during class.

Love Silver Sage Ceramics!! Would highly recommend anything they...

UPDATE: Now that I'm throwing at home, this studio continues to be a strong support for me as a novice potter. They give me great advice and I love that I can use their glazes and leave my pieces for them to fire for me. I'll recommend them to anyone looking to get into this craft. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I took the wheel throwing class last summer and loved every minute. Instruction was great to help us all learn how to center the clay and to make taller bowls, etc. We went through all the steps from start to finish, including trimming and glazing. Really a great class and studio and I hope to be able to take another class someday. I highly recommend...
