Hi Sushi: A Hidden Gem in Cheyenne, WY Hi Sushi is a fantastic spot in Cheyenne, WY, offering some of the best Japanese food in town. The quality of their sushi is outstanding, particularly their Nigiri, which features perfectly seasoned rice and the freshest fish. Their Onigiri is also a delight, with just the right texture and flavorful fillings. One of the best things about Hi Sushi is their ability to accommodate custom orders, ensuring every meal is tailored to your tastes. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit special, and it's clear they take great pride in their work. Don't miss out on their delicious donuts—yes, donuts! They are a must-try and add a unique twist to their menu. Hi Sushi may not be a grand, five-star restaurant, but the quality of their food and the warm, personalized service make it a standout. If you're in Cheyenne, make sure to visit Hi Sushi for an unforgettable dining experience!

Service was pretty good. Staff was friendly and responsive. Although the young man who waited on us replied with a "Yes." when the wife asked if the pork ramen had pork belly. They were mindful enough to mention items that might affect people with food allergies. The food was decent, but the portion size was a bit disappointing for the price, especially with the ramen. The fam was also disjointed that the pork in the ramen wasn't really pork belly. The food was 'good enough' otherwise, but nothing about the food stood out as impressive. The atmosphere is a bit tight on space, and parking is just adequate, but neither is disappointing for those who have been to more traditional sushi bars. We haven't tried the donuts. Overall, it's not bad, but IMHO, it needs higher quality and/or bigger portions to stand out at the price point.

This place consistently serves up fresh and unique rolls. I've probably tried about ten different rolls here, from basic to exotic, and my favorites are the Hi Roll (Shrimp Tempura, Crab, Avocado, Masago, and Special Sauce) and without a doubt the Volcano Roll (Spicy Tuna Roll topped with Masago, Crab, Avocado, and Special Sauce). Note, the Volcano roll can be ordered extra spicy and let me assure you, it is no joke. I will keep frequenting this place as my entire family loves the variety here, and as another plus the owner is super friendly and nice to chat with. I always feel welcomed here and that has been my experience with all the people I've interacted with here. Highly recommended.

Hi Sushi is as good as it gets. If you like Japanese or Asian cuisine, do yourself a favor and go here. If you don't like Japanese or Asian cuisine, do yourself a favor and go here so they can change your mind.

The building is quaint, maybe a little small, and rather old -- I wouldn't have it any other way. The place really gives off a "local hole-in-the-wall" atmosphere, and is intimate enough to give the opportunity to see where the food is coming from. You can dine in or carry out, but you should consider dining in to really enjoy the experience. The fine folks that operate this place can be seen working diligently behind the counter to prepare fresh sushi, or on occasion will make the effort to visit with you.

Speaking of the sushi -- what a spiritual experience. There is no earthly reason why Wyoming has this exceptional of a sushi restaurant. The nigiri is a must, the rice is so delicately sweet and tart, with such a light flavor. It allows for the subtle flavor of the fish to present itself. Though if you're craving something less subtle, they have a substantial offering of signature rolls with more intense flavor.

They carry many food options aside from sushi as well, all of them just as delicious as the last. You can get teriyaki meat, dumplings, egg rolls, rangoon, and fresh ramen with homemade broth. The broth has so much flavor, and they include plenty of interesting toppings.

Big shout out to the staff. They are all friendly, professional, and attentive. Kyle in particular goes the extra mile to ensure his customers are more than taken care of. This is a local place that deserves to be taken care of by the community, because they take care of them back.

Also, they have...
