If you're an 80's Househeads, this ain't your group on Wednesday nights anymore. The house music crowd has been different lately. Post pandemic has ushered in younger non-househead people, who play their own music " trap, drill etc type rap" which over plays the house music DJ. We are fearful younger people will bring trouble & drama (agruments about basic stuff, lots of bad cigar smoke). Which TRADITIONAL househeads try to avoid. They're not the same people. Disrespectful loud motorcycles roaring in the crowd and riding them, Playing off brand NOT HOUSE MUSIC on their private music boxes. People tape off sections. They leave their trash on the ground. ( Hint: It's garbage cans ALL around...pick-up your garbage) Its also cans for old burn BBQ coals)This new group need their own...
Read moreChicago's city government and community businesses has done a great job of restoring 31st Street beach, and the adjacent 31st Street harbor. The grounds itself is very clean, very bright with newly installed lights and art statues are posted nearby 31st.Beach area. The Beach is in the Brownsville community, south side of the city on water front, which is very cultural, pretty and expanding. Definitely remind you of the influences of Art history, and African culture in Chicago. Its a great sight to see Chicago's city services becoming more invested with preserving both art and Black / Indian culture, especially in a very diverse city. Come visit the 31st Beach...
Read moreThe marina is brand new....A nice addition to the city....There needs to be a more strict policy about loud music, barking and loose dogs running without leashes, and other slip holders using more than their space on the dock....I didn't like the fact that there is NO COMMUNICATION to slip holders regarding closing of fuel docks early...The mgmt has ALL of our email addresses....They should be used to communicate....Needless to say, I will not be back because all in all, THE COST IS NOT WORTH THE AMENITIES....I wish the management well, and I hope they get their act...
