Had my father funeral here because we were told it's a beautiful place and we needed a lot of space to accommodate 300+ people. The staff was nice and seemed to have everything in order even with Schertz Funeral Home until the day of. Schertz Funeral home was given a wrong number to contact the correct person to open the doors and when we (the family) showed up at 9:30 my dad was still In the hearse and flowers in the van. When we asked what was going on the lady just had showed up to open the church. So we escorted my dad in and Schertz Funeral home started getting everything ready as fast as they could. People started showing up couldn't even come up to the casket to pay their last respects, my dad loved flowers we scrambled to get all the flowers we could up there as people were trying to pay their condolences to us and all the programs we had made couldn't get past out bc again the funeral home was trying to get the casket situated and flowers for us. The music guy was great and did everything he could to get our music and video playing with the little time he had as well. Just overall already an emotional time that was hard enough to not have the respect, courtesy or thoughtfulness on the amount of time that it takes to get a funeral ready especially for the crowd we had. We paid for that extra time to open the church early so we wouldn't of had to deal with that and we still did. We went over our time because we started late but good thing the cemetery people were understanding they started to wonder if we were even showing up because that's how late we were due to the church. I hope this never happens to anyone on such an already difficult day. Schertz Funeral Home did an amazing job on doing what they had to do with the little time they were given to setup. Next time I ask this church to have some respect on the time when to open the doors for a funeral. You don't do 30 minutes before the service to open the doors to get setup it's common sense the family and people show up then to pay their last respect not watch the funeral home setup. And I ask you give the correct phone numbers to contact the day off. The funeral home was there at 8:30 trying to get a hold of someone. Don't ever do this to a...
Read moreThe pastor always preaches a great message and is friendly. The music is awesome! Great band! My only complaint is that the church family/people who attend the church services are very cliquish. I have been attending here for approximately 3-4 months and unless I go up to speak with anyone, no one has even said hi or bye to me. I have even gone out of my way to say hi to some of the older men and they have never given one reply back. Very unfriendly church family except for the pastor and associate pastor. I’m about ready to change churches as a result of the unfriendliness of the people who attend. I hope the pastor preaches one day...
Read moreSince moving to San Antonio our family needed to find a new church home. This was our fifth church and it was an out of the ball park hit. The members made us feel very welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. My kids enjoy Sunday school services and are always happy and excited to attend.
The congregation is diverse and the facilities are clean and modern. In the front entrance they have a coffee shop which serves fresh coffee and warm cookies that can be taken into the service.
This is a wonderful family friendly place to attend a praise and worship service. I would...
