Cicero Red Bridge Park — Attraction in Cicero

Red bridge park is a small town park with a small town feel . It does consist of a public pool at a decent size with alot of small town feel , so for those who have a problem with public space and alot of people that leaves you feeling like you have to worry about how you look or how people look at you this is a place you can go without this issue and feel comfortable with who you are and how you look people will not leave you feeing like you are not welcome and will not judge you. You can visit the pool feeling comfortable and enjoy your cool down and leave feeling like you just left your best friends back yard . If swimming isn't for you , you can visit Red bridge park, and while the family is swimming you can choose some of the benefits that the park has for the non- swimmer . You can enjoy Morse lake and fish for some large cat fish or small pan fish which ever you prefer including alot of fresh water life , several types of turtles, cat fish of several type,bluegill,sun fish,karp, black Crappie,all types of Bass and a few that I'm sure I have forgot or are of a special taste that requires a special tastebud ,and like fishing and swimming there is a small amount of playground equipment catering to young children to play on while mom sits in the shade and watches over the children while reading her favorite book well within the close supervision she prefers. There is a small kiyac and canoe launcher that is a free self serve service and next to it is a nice new concreate dock with lights and railing to keep us safe from falling into the lake . There is plenty of boat docks that can be rented for the season for private use . The park has a nice large building used for all types of things including the annual car show and a annual Dan's fish fry . Theres a annual Chili cook off championship also every year and the building is available for private gatherings, reunions, weddings or any other events for a rental fee you can enjoy plenty of room and in a place where theres plenty of things to do. There is public restrooms available also . For the ones who like to fish there is a small bait and tackle house located right on the water also offering gas for your boats with a pull right up pumps . These are just a few of the things that makes this small park a large benefit for any family of any size to enjoy time together eating ,site seeing or just taking a walk across the new causeway that was built just s few years ago. This park as docks, a pool, and a community building. The pool was very busy, and charges $3 for admission, open 11-7pm (July 2015). We did not go in, but it sounded like people were having fun. This park does not have a public boat launch or swimming access. We sat on the docks for a while and put our feet in the water - saw a lot of fish jumping, so might be good for that! Lots of Canadian geese around, too.

Want to check out the fishing options at the Cicero Red Bridge fishing pier and it's about a hundred foot walk but if you had a wagon to haul all of your stuff down there then it wouldn't be extremely that bad when you're on the dock you're about 6 ft above the water so you definitely would have to have a good net and something kind of long to reach down and net your fish otherwise you will have a chance of losing it trying to pull it up and over the rail of the pier other than that it...
