PORT CICERO is a place to shop for any type of alchohol you prefer, The drinks available are usually current and fresh which is something I really haven't needed to worry about all the years I have shopped here . It is a very nice place especially after expanding the footage of the sales floor. .I remember stopping here with my father while being young and still under his roof , in Jr high school I watched Ron and his family run their business to the levels of professionalism thru happiness and kindness, they are a great family. Now that I look back on my visits all these years, I can recall chasing a thief that grabbed a bottle and ran out the door as I was entering the store. I didn't even take the time to question what was going on , i just turned around and the chase was on , i was so determined to catch the guy I forgot about the 15 inches of snow on the ground and after falling in the snow several times and making it 7 blocks he was more determined to getting away that he hadn't realized at the time that our little town on the water is full of family's that are determined to not allow these things to drag us all down . He was arrested later within a couple of days . Why did I risk myself of possible injuries to help Ron and his family ? Just plain reasons as simple as because he had done business with my father and with me and my son .Not once have I ever felt unwelcomed when walking into his store . He also would order certain items that he did not carry in the store but was happy to recommend the item and when I liked what he recommended he would continue to order the item for us as long as we would pick up . I have always been happy with the service and was proud to consider the family and employees part of my family Ron has retired now but because of him and his kindness to everyone and his professionalism in business I will and do continue to stop in and say hello and grab a nice wine to accompany with dinner. WAY TOO exspensive, way over charged nowadays for basic beer. $10 more, NO THANK YOU, then cashier could NOT find OTHER employee to return my money!
