So much of this museum has been wiped. All of the settling of Cincinnati, and the manufacturing/ tooling history/ WW2 area exhibits (used to) show how large, important, and critical Cincinnati was to the nation- it instilled pride in those of us who lived/were raised here- all gone now.
This place has been dumbed down and sterilized to it's own detriment- it is now like ANY OTHER children's learning place- with nothing but the architecture of the building itself lending to the magnificence this once was.
It is a shame my kids will never know how great this museum used to be. They will likely not share the same appreciation for what this place is- and when taxpayer dollars are needed once again to save it in the future- people are much less...
Read moreIf you want to learn about Cincinnati history, you will learn it all here. The train dioramas are outstanding. You can see the entirety of the city as it was some years ago. The detail is phenomenal and really goes beyond what you would expect.
Travel through time and explore the beginnings of the city. You can explore a riverboat and some of the stores that existed in years gone by. Find out what was created here by those that came before us. See the memorabilia from stores, merchandise and sports that evolved here. If you are from Cincy, you must stop here to see everything.
