When learning about the Holocaust, it is often difficult to make it through stories or exhibitions without choking back tears - the Nancy and David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center is no exception. By focusing on the story, lineage and character traits of around a dozen survivors, the museum's innovative format can shine.
It is always important to be educated about the Holocaust - in Germany, it is absolutely mandatory to complete school with a thorough education of the Shoah. This is so we do not repeat it again, or come close - although ethnic and interreligious conflict today feels like we're coming ever closer.
My visit ended with a guest speaker, a second-generation child of a Holocaust survivor who was incredibly professional and shared deeply personal stories without hesitation to a group of high schoolers. Great art in the museum and a lot of information: If you go downstairs in the museum you will see great art on the walls and interactive places along with a lot of information. The art is very creative and immersive. I watched a film and the fact that the film screen stretched over 20 feet made the film very immersive to watch.
Much amount of information, interesting to learn: With the immersive art and interactive stations, It will make learning about this time period very interesting and immersive.

This was an emotional exhibit as it really brought the Holocaust to you in a way I haven’t seen before. Some of the people that witnessed it talk about their experiences and are living in Cincinnati as well. They have exhibits that have actual clothes that were worn during this time. They showcase the lives of those that did and didn’t escape this terrible time in our history. It begins with how they were living and how things changed for the worst. They have a lot of memorabilia that really personalizes this. It makes you wonder what you would have done during that time. Would you have just stood by or would you have tried to help?
