Whoever owns this property is a total grinch. The plaza has a lot of businesses including a supermarket, a few restaurants, a big swap meet, and a music store, many that I shop eat and spend money at. Thanksgiving weekend on Saturday a bunch of people including myself got towed becauae apparently the parking lot is 1 hour limit only. I was barely parked over an hour and my car was towed. The towing company (ASAP Towing) was constantly towing cars. It costa $430 (!) to get my car out of the yard, which is absolutely ridiculous for holding my car for an hour. One of the people I met who got towed came out of the supermarket with a cart full of groceries, only to find their car was gone.
It's extremely unreasonable for this shopping center to expect people to only be there for one hour. Ive easily spent longer than that at Blossom Hot Pot or Sam Ash and have spent thousands of dollars there over the years. They even picked Thanksgiving weekend to strictly enforce this rule which I've been there many weekends before and they didnt do this. I think they knew a lot of people would be shopping there this weekend and decided to take advantage of the plaza customers. Plaza owner probably gets a cut of the tow fees or something so they tolerate/encourage this predatory towing.
I dont see myself coming back to this plaza unless they make this right. Doubt I can get a refund on my tow but rest assured Im not dining or shopping...
Read moreAbsolutely unbelievable. I wish I could give zero stars. My cousin parked his car in front of sam ash and the “security” they have took a photo at the time he parked the car. Actually, in the photo you can still see my cousin walking away from his car. The photo was taken at 2:39, we got back to the parking lot at 3:37 and we could see his car being put on the tow truck. The driver told my cousin he got “lucky” that the car was manual and could not drop the car because he had to use a special part to tow the car. No one can tell us what time the call was dispatched. We have spent all day calling the maintenance guy, the lot manager, USA parking enforcement, and the tow truck company (asap towing) trying to get the exact call of when the car was dispatched. The only answer we got was “approx 3:40”, which is untrue because we were already there asking the driver to drop the car. Very discoursing for customers who would like to visit more than one shop in the parking structure. We will be taking this to court. Not to mention, the tow truck company they work with are extremely unprofessional and rude. Thanks to this plaza we had a bill of $430 for a tow less than 10 miles away, and only being on their lot for a max...
Read moreWe visited the shopping center area on 05/20/2023 (Saturday). The parking situation for this parking lot is a nightmare. We visited the Sam Ash store and spent a good amount of time there. We then moved our car to a different park of the parking lot to visit Frank & Sons. After spending some time at Frank & Sons we looked for our car in the parking lot, and it was NOT there. We called the Sheriffs Dept and they advised us the car was towed by ASAP Towing in La Puente. We had to take an UBER to get to the tow facility. They charged us $430 to get our vehicle. This is very unfair. I was trying to spend quality time with my Son on a Saturday. We spent a lot of money at your business's located in this parking lot, and this is how you treat customers? By towing their vehicles. This predatory towing behavior has to STOP. I have hired an attorney and I am contacting several other customers who have had their vehicles towed from this location. I am planning on filing a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. Please avoid these business's in this shopping area. This kind of behavior will not stop, unless these questionable tactics are...
