Shunde Hotpot is the NEW addition of the previous Sunjow Cafe 順德私廚 located in the 18888 Labin Ct C107, Rowland Heights, CA 91748
Many old customers requested to reopen so they open in this new location 18017 Gale Ave, City of Industry, CA 91748
It still has the old menu of Sunjow Cafe 順德私廚 but with the NEW addition of hotpot.
We tried the hotpot tonight and the meat quality and price are better than Happy Lamb hotpot buffet. However, Shunde Hotpot is NOT buffet!! So please don't get confused.
You need to order via phone and it has both English and Chinese menu.
These are the taste results
Taro strip. Taste Grade A+
Tomato soup base Taste Grade A+
Lamb and beef slice combo Taste Grade A (the price is great)
Both beef and lamb have a good balance of meat and fat.
Lamb shoulder slice Taste Grade A (the price is great). It has a good balance of meat and fat.
Supreme Lamb Leg slice Taste Grade A (the price is great). This is the LEAN cut.
Handmade shrimp ball Taste Grade A
Sauce bar Taste Grade A $4.99 per person (Just like Haidilao Hotpot ). This is the 1st hotpot I see offer fresh ginger thin slices.
Fresh fruits. Taste Grade A-
Bone soup. Taste Grade B This is the only one that is just normal.
This is a new restaurant so the server still need more training. However, he is friendly and quick to respond.
The ambiance is modern. Those who love cute toys will like this place. Please check out my pictures.

Read moreWe dined at this restaurant on 7/26/2025 20:30 and the experience was appalling, both in terms of hygiene and food safety. Our key concerns include:
Unsanitary Environment:
The self-service sauce station was visibly dirty and neglected, raising major health concerns.
A leaking air conditioning pipe directly above our table was dripping water onto our food, hot pot broth, and our hands, which is a direct contamination hazard.
Food Safety Issues:
The chicken and beef lacked proper flavor, and the seafood had a strong fishy odor and contained sand.
Three out of our six diners developed diarrhea within an hour of eating — a strong indicator of potential foodborne illness.
Poor Response from Staff:
When we raised our concerns, the staff were dismissive and offered only a 5% discount, without taking any accountability.
We decided not to leave a tip due to the poor experience, but a staff member followed us outside to demand a tip, which was aggressive and highly inappropriate.

Everything was super fresh — especially the fish slices and shrimp, which cooked in seconds and stayed tender. The congee slowly thickens as you cook, absorbing all the flavors, and by the end it becomes the best part of the meal.
