For those of you who haven't been to Helen Newman in a while, I would love to keep this gem to myself but they deserve all the business Ithaca can throw their way. Apparently Cornell is investing in a bygone past time. The lanes have been totally revamped, the pin setters are all brand new and work amazingly well. Not only that but the prices are still what you would expect, totally affordable for an entire group of teens (last minute birthday party) and the staff were awesome, happy to accommodate the food we brought in, quickly making us feel welcome despite our questionable choice to "just show up". Keep an eye on the website, the hours are accurate and while they have a reservation form I was told that staff is in by 2:30 and happy to discuss over the phone.

It’s about $3 per game but a lot of the days you get a free game if anyone scores a strike! It also has a nice bar and pizza which makes it good for parties or another small events.    Read more7 of the lanes were broken, we called ahead of time to ask about availability and they said they had spots open but when we got there they had none for us, when we finally got to bowl the lane wouldn’t return out balls, one of our balls damaged the lane and they blamed the broken lane on us and then made us leave and pay without even finishing one round.
