Stopped by here for the very first visit to the Cornell campus and was greeted by extremely knowledgeable staff who proposed a sample walking tour visit. Plenty of parking and free on the weekends with a small parking lot right next to the welcome center and additional parking at Toboggan Lodge and the associated parking garage.

Parking is more complicated than necessary. Have to download an app (which is only good in certain lots) and the app has a TON of things you have to unsubscribe to avoid recurring fees. Staff working at the center were knowledgeable and helpful.

What a beautiful and tranquil view over the river and pond from the welcome center at Cornell University. It pretty much sealed the deal for my teen daughter, it's clearly her first choice school.

This is a great facility. The building is modern and has most of the amenities you'd expect from a Visitor Center - on-site parking, practical info, restrooms, and some exhibits on Cornell and its history. The staff were friendly and helpful. Don't miss the outdoor balcony with spectacular views of the waterfalls!

From here, you can walk to the main Cornell campus (about a 15-minute walk) and the waterfalls in the surrounding area.

Parking wasn't free during the weekday of our visit. We used the Parkmobile app to find a...

Beautiful resource and space to welcome everyone to Cornell. 40 years ago I was a short order cook (I prefer chef 😊) making the best omelets, french toast and pancakes on campus at what was then the Lodge restaurant overlooking the Lake. I must say I like what they've done to the place! although I've heard they need to bring back my awesome pancakes at the dining...
