Be prepared to climb many many steps but it’s really worth as the views of the waterfalls and serene forest around feels so therapeutic! My kids LOVED it there and happily played there for hours. ⛴ Discover Cayuga Lake Land and Lake boat tour. Beautiful boat ride with local history, guided hike to the waterfalls WITH geology facts and a chance to study the lake plankton under a microscope. While I LOVE road trips, I do NOT love the actual driving. Luckily we found a new way to road trip with OurBus! With a round trip ticket costing less than the cost of a tank of gas, it was a no brainer to use @rideourbus on our latest road trip to @visitithaca. Instead of worrying about traffic and stressing out about the drive, I spent my time relaxing with my family and arrived at our destination well rested and ready to explore. (ad) I can't believe we waited so long to try it, it's become our new favorite way to travel! Haven't tried bus travel before? Here's what to expect on OurBus: Comfy, reclining seats. Live outside of Ithaca and looking for a day trip? You can't beat traveling to Ithaca Falls. Parking lot for the falls is kind of small but there is a coffee shop nearby for you to caffeinate at and it's a short walk from there to the falls. Flow may be variable so plan ahead. Even if it's not really flowing, there are plenty of interesting things to look at. The path down is a little steep and loose stone. Those with mobility issues, depending on how bad, may have a hard time. Would not recommend using motorized scooters. Loose stone of various sizes are strewn all over the creek bed and can make for rough going. You can get right next to the falls, depending on water level. Use caution because some of the rock is steeply sloped and may be wet. There are many things to do and places to go in and around Ithaca so you can make a full day of it. Highly recommended.
