Botanist is one of the best cafes I've ever visited. Their coffee drinks are top notch. Their chai blend is homemade and unsweetened, so you can tailor it to suit your needs. The baked goods and treats are all homemade and are outstanding. They have a nice assortment of sweet and savory scones.

The coffeehouse doubles as a plant store, and the ambiance is comfortable and natural. They have a very nice indoor seating area with a small library of books and some lovely natural art pieces.

Be aware that Botanist is on the main commute for Ithaca's middle and high school students, faculty, and staff. There's a bustling business every weekday morning from 8:30ish to 9:00 from Labor Day through about the third week in June. They do a wonderful job working through the orders (and I think everyone makes it to school on time), but if you have flexibility, try heading in around 9:30. It'll be easier to...

Welcome to your new favorite place! Tucked in a little neighborhood in Ithaca is your dream made reality- a coffee shop covered in plants to purchase, wonderfully hospitable staff and the best pastries you’ve ever had. I don’t drink coffee, but my husband no longer drinks anything other than the house blend for purchase, Clever Girl. It smells devine! But listen close because the reason you will continue to want to come back time after time is the best homemade pastries. Try the scones, the cinnamon rolls, the chocolate chip cookies and I REPEAT- DO NOT MISS THE RICE KRISPIES! They are out of this world and family in Rochester talk about them regularly. Botanist is the perfect spot to become a regular! You won’t regret it!...

Botanist is an absolutely incredible place, and the thoughtfulness of the owner shines through in everything that they do. The Clever Girl blend is the bee's knees whether you drink it black or with cream and sugar (it's all that I brew at home now). If you ask the owner about her process, you'll find a dedication to delivering the best experience that either never existed or gets lost in the shuffle with most coffee shops. Food: a great selection of scones and baked goods but you absolutely HAVE to have a rice crispy treat. You won't regret it. Botanist is a must-visit whether you're a resident or if you simply find yourself passing through Ithaca. 11/10,...

Walking into this magical and beautifully curated space of good coffee and pleasing plants made me almost start crying from how lovely it was, and how much I've missed being in new spaces during the pandy. The coffee is locally roasted in Cortland, and a small array of baked goods beckoned. The small butter cookies were perfection without being saccharine-sweet. House plants are in all sizes and many come with care instructions on their little stake. The barristas were sweet and accommodating and covid-safety was practiced, and I really did not want to leave.

A lovely experience this morning at the Botanist. We ordered a dirty chai which was made from loose leaf tea with a touch of honey, and an americano made with Coffee Mania espresso. The tasteful layout, botany decor, and genuinely friendly service all contribute to a second-to-none ambiance! This space is well worth the walk or drive to the far end of Fall Creek. I’m excited to see the Botanist quickly become an Ithaca classic.

Okay, this place is absolutely adorable. The plants are charming, the windows make the atmosphere bright and refreshing. The downside: the few times I’ve visited, the coffee has tasted burnt/over extracted (this past time, it was a cortado). It’s a bit harsh of a flavor and disappointing- I really want to love this place more. Maybe they can adjust their process a bit.
